Hi /k/, looking for some cheap and reliable mags for AR pattern rifles. Rather not spend ~$13/mag for magpul what are some alternatives?
>>34852995
>$13 a mag is too much
idk, maybe you could shape some mags out of mud and let them dry?
P-mags are cheap and work fantastically.
If you are opposed to the idea of 13 dollars, just wait for them to go on sale
Palmetto state armory likes to throw 10 of them in with random optics and accessories all the time so just watch that.
>>34852995
just buy the fucking magpuls 13 dollars is "cheap". your values are spoiled by milsurp pricing. a oem mag thats not for an ar/ak/military gun is usually 30-50 bucks.
Can you give me a report on the AK50.
Is this meant to be bigger and better than the Barrett .50 cal? Or is it just a gimmick?
This even a real thing?
That being said, they did make a .50 cal AR15, so why the fuck not do the same with an AK?
It'll end up being a very large caliber "PSL" in the end though, nothing more.
>>34853174
we need a semi auto ar15 in .50 bmg.
I dont care if its impractical, its american as fuck.
Or just make a Barrett m107 full auto (and belt fed somehow) for shits and giggles.
>>34852971
Weapon is Kalashnikov.
Is way better than west pig guns.
Is the ar7 the only gun that does not require tools to take apart and build up in the field?
Or does anyone having one and can lost pro vs cons
>>34852932
1911s in the original config have tooless disassembly
By chance do you any decent take down guns I am looking to add one but not sure if they would be reliable
>>34852932
the ruger 10/22 takedown is popular
ruger also makes an expensice takedown AR15 called the SR556 Takedown
I've had a Glock 19 for about a year now, and I like it but I just can't get used to the grip angle. I've trained with it to the point where I can get good groupings with it, but it just doesn't point naturally. My browning Hi Power on the other hand points perfectly, the sights come right up as soon as I raise the gun. For a carry/self defense gun that is what I want. Since i don't really want to carry my BHP, I need another option.
Are the timberwolf 80% glock lowers a good product? or should i just get another striker gun with a different grip angle. I tried a S&W M&P and it felt better but I just couldn't stand the trigger, same with the FNS9. The only one I haven't tried is the Ruger American compact. Are those good? obviously P320s are out of the question which kind of sucks because that is what I planned on getting initially.
If you don't like the glock dangle, don't go with a glock.
>>34852879
Too late. I fell for the "just buy a glock 19 and forget about it" meme. After giving it a NY1 Trigger + 3.5 connector job i am able to shoot pretty well with it and it has been 100% reliable, I just don't like the angle.
on the other hand if I rented a bunch of guns and picked the one I shot best with I probably would have ended up with a P320
I've been meaning to get one just to have it. Haven't got around to it yet though.
Has anyone ever used hardtack as a prepper food?
I have the ingredients handy and was going to make some today.
Any Kommandos ever make their own?
I've made the stuff a number of times.
>>34852792
No reason to use hardtack when you could just buy a box of clubhouse crackers and some canned pork and peaches.
>>34852856
That's too easy.
Plus, part of it falls under historical research.
Hey /k/. I've been lurking here for a bit and I was wondering if there are any aesthetic bullpup rifles. I've noticed that most of them are ugly as fuck when compared to Cold War era Easter European rifles. (Image kinda related. It's not bullpup but it's my favorite rifle aesthetic-wise) Post pics of beautiful bullpup weapons. Especially ones with wood finish.
This is now a comblock thread

Hey /k/,
what is your favourite movie gun?
Anything goes: From fun, cool, stylish, laughably powerful or just goofy looking and / or insane.
"Most powerful handgun in the world"

how the fuck does that thing feed
>posting the obvious
what the fuck /k/ you mean to tell me I could've had ATF free black powder goodness for this cheap all along?
why does nobody talk about these
>>34852568
because the cheap ones are meh. brass frames stretch out if you shoot it regularly. steel frames are 300+. 300 gets you a bunch of used modern revolvers
>>34852568
Do you live under a rock? BP threads are all over /k/. They're not as big as /ARG/ because it's more of a niche interest but it's no secret.
>>34852596
You can snag steel 1858s and 1851s on cabelas all day for $200-$250. I'd still say those are priced competitively to modern guns to remain an option.
can someone tell me what gun this is

For a board with such a strong 2nd amendment sentiment, there seems to be a lot of mockery and dismissal towards militias. Are militias inherently a dumb idea? Or, do militias have an improper attitude about their place and role? Should militias even exist today?
Everyone above 18 is the militia you twat

Their are private militia then their are the real militia.
what kind of capabilities would a fighter aircraft have to have to be considered a meaningful step up from current 5th generation fighters? hyper sonic speed? active camouflage? lasers?
>>34852287
Semi autonomous or optionally autonomous. Possibly manned with control links to missile boating drone wingmen or other UAV support.
7th gen might see plasma stealth.

Everything a F-35 has + Mach 2 super cruise + macross missile spam clouds
>>34852287
Passive defense. It would have to be made of some ultra-strength material capable of withstanding missile strikes. Material would also have to be light enough to significantly reduce dry weight for equivalent surface area.
Weapons capacity. Has to be able to carry 12+ AMRAAMs or equivalent missiles internally. Gun will either be a laser or a GAU-8 redesign made of said ultra-light ultra-strength material.
TWR. At least 1.35 @ full fuel and weapons load.
Sustained Mach 3 capable.
Turn rate of >50 degrees/second.
What other weapons have used sirens or other features for psychological effect?

I wanted to put one of those on my car, but apparently you need to be going over 300 for it to work.
