Clearly Ethipia, they had rhinos and were depicted as fat niggers
Does /his/ like the War of the Roses?
>>2899877
I did a paper on them. I came to the conclusion that they were actually pretty small scale, but they were remembered as HUGE.
This memory fuelled the autism of Henry VIII, and thus really wanted a son.
>>2900119
Wars in the middle ages were generally small scale. The 100YW, that happened at the same time, wasnt that much larger

Does /his/ like the Cousins' War

Autistic question:
What were some of the earliest lawsuits in history relating to safety?
When would a country like America first see a lawsuit against someone for, let's say, installing railings on a building unsafely? Stais that aren't supported? A building not built right? Things like that.
Pic taken in 1864 (someone did a cool job coloring it) in Nashville.

Life before television
I don't know when the first lawsuit of this type happened in the US, but the bible has more verses than one would think regarding putting railing on your rooftop. Whether you are a christian or non-christian, this would seem to indicate that some form of legal suit or complaint had to be taken regarding this issue before the bible.
Now, being so long ago, this form of legal action might have been something along the lines of trial by combat or so,e shit like that, but I think that still fits your question.
As life is mainly about finding meaning, would it be safe to assume that being religious is playing life on easy mode? Is this also what keeps religious people from becomic agnostoc/atheistic as they would give up on meaning, which is the very thing we are after?
>>2895377
>As life is mainly about finding meaning
You're already making truth claims.
>>2895381
Funny, I was rewriting that part when I was fixing the typo but apparently the old version was posted already, I thought I was quick enough with cancelling the post. What would you consider to be humanitys drive then? Pleasure? I would assume you're right if so, as finding "meaning" is a way to feel better in a sense
>>2895377
Why wouldn't we ask whether we had a meaning if we didn't have a reason/meaning to ask?
On reflection - did the British Empire bring more good to the world than bad?
>>2959457
>Created modern Indian state
>Greatest contributor to scientific discovery and technology
>Birthplace of industrial revolution
>The empire provided the resources and manpower for Britain to fight in the world wars
It's alright

Is this a list of reasons to hate the U.K.?

What are some examples of the Dunning-Kruger effect?
/his/, /pol/, /v/ ....
>>2959126
Your mom in thinking she was suitable for carrying a baby and raising it.
Confidence of a person inversely correlates with Dunning Kruger effect.
I've been searching and reading some history books about the massacre and one thing is certain: that the incident was erased from the history in mainland China, and the millennials there doesn't know what gruesome incident happen in June 4, 1989
It wouldn't surprise me. These faggots are champions at manipulation and history vandalism.
>>2958742
Disgusting mainland China
They all do. Your reality is not based on textbooks, nor is ours.
What were the Axis powers ideologically fighting for?

Nationalism for their nations and subjugation of their enemies.

Ironically, freedom.

What are your thoughts on freedom of speech, /his/? Where does it end?
Personally, I am of the opinion that unless you're harassing someone, anything goes.
Pic entirely unrelated.
There shouldn't be freedom of speech at all. People should only be allowed to ever say two lines their entire life, like in those Whose Line sketches.
Freedom of speech should and does differ from culture to culture.
>>2958586
Do you get to choose the lines?
What's your family's history?
What ethnicity, what wars of nationality and ideology did they fight in, and on what side?
Obviously you need not go into personal detail since this is anonymoose forum, but just the general gist.
>>2957117
I...I don't know shit.
For example:
Protestant Anglo family here in the American continent since colonial times. Anglicized German name that we managed to actually trace back to Northern Ireland.
Somehow I never learned what my family did in our Civil War, but since they were in Iowa at the time they we're almost certainly Union.
Fought in the World Wars for the Entente/Allies naturally, and the West in the Cold War, having also fought in Vietnam.
All told the most archtype American: Protestant, Germanic, Anti-Communist, Western
>>2957131
Surely you know SOMETHING.
This is an international forum, just give your surname origin, nationality, and religion.
Why is Poland allowed to worship a military dictator but not Spain or Portugal?
I mean he literally put the opposition into camps.
because we don't worship him for his dictatorship after 1926, but for what he did in ww1 and 1920
>>2956208
This also he and his firends fucked up this country in 30s
And Franco was a fucking retard. He had to let the manage of the economy to capitalist experts because his autarchy was so shit, that Spain in 1960 barely changed of 1939
Whose fault was the Black Plague?

Maybe rulers and officials who didn't call quarantines or the mongols because those flees supposedly came with them.
>>2955927
So you're saying it's the Chineseses fault?
"My favorite political system in terms of being adapted to its particular circumstances, successfully, is Singapore. I think Singapore is the single most successful governmental system that exists in the world [...]. "
"This is better than Athens..."
- Charles Munger on Singapore
Was he right?
>>2955732
Singapore's system is tied with China's (despite its myriad problems) as my favorite government system right now. However, I view it as incomplete. Its evocation of "Asian Values" is rather shallow and will eventually degenerate into Western liberalism due to ideological pressure. Fundamental reforms are in order to prevent this.
It's just benevolent authoritarianism with a veneer of democracy. A less corrupt version of Putin's Russia.
>>2955732

This is spread of the Proto-Indo-Europeans (Aryans) in which they spread from their original homeland of Ukraine to Europe, Balkans, Russia, Caucasus, Antonia, Central Asia, Iran, India, and the Tarim Basin. They also spread their language which split into other languages in which they eventually spread and colonized the world.
>a fucking horse chariot

>>2954457
They also invented chariots and were the first to domesticate horses. They were also a fierce-like warrior group that raided and fought in those chariots.

Asians do are held back by societies impression of them which effect their professional development though so they got their own issues.
