This is probably better suited for /adv/. But you should look up "Contingent fee basis". It's what the lowest rung of lawyers do, but it does give access to attorneys for people who otherwise can't afford them. You essentially promise a percentage of your possible winnings or settlement (exact amount determined on the strength and magnitude of your case compared to the time and expense of pursuing it), in exchange for representation.

Or, you could try to go pro se, but that's really, really tough.

Stalingrad was just the largest overall battle, over the years it unfolded alot of troops participated, it can be rounded up into a single battle but in reality it was a very long series of many, many battles.

It's stupid and wrong.

People believe these "life-cycle" theories about civilizations and society because humans like to classify things, and because it allows us to make predictions of the future without actually doing any research. I know, because a while ago I thought it was correct too, until I came to the conclusion that the world is a complex place and that civilizations have a little more nuance than the rise-fall timeline Spengler ascribes.

There are a few small grains of truth, even unique ones in the book, but the main idea is just playing to your desire to organize things and feel smart without doing any work.

A few bits and pieces are very interesting, like the theory of a civilization's mathematics shaping its worldview and subsequent expression of culture, but most of it can be proven false with modern archaeology and anthropology.

It's worth reading even if the theory and some parts have it's problems, Spengler way of thinking was interesting by itself.

That makes no sense. How is Aristotle responsible for the technological stop of a civilization centuries removed from his own? It's not his fault they treated him as a prophet and didn't advance scientific knowledge beyond what he had made, when he laid down the foundations for them. Did Newton stop the development of quantum physics or Copernicus and Galileo delay the discovery of the Big Bang theory?
