Fountain of Youth... Was it real and still hidden somewhere? Who and why would lie about it if such thing never existed?
It does not, and never did, exist. Nobody lied about it, it was simply miscommunication that evolved over time into a grand myth.
>>3059195
What about El Dorado? Was it purely mythical too or there was a grain of truth in the stories?

Are /his/ threads about youtubers like Sargon of Akkad allowed?
>>3059170
No, only the real Sargon of Akkad is allowed.

I love the arches, and the original concept of the dome on top. Can you believe the Muslims invented this? Only a warrior-scholar society like theirs could achieve something so great

Can't believe anyone could fall for that.
Nice try OP. I bet the T*rks didn't even construct those shitty Arabic disks suspended from the gloriously Byzantine ceiling.

Why couldn't the Mongols conquer India? Did they fear the Indian Warrior?
No but seriously did they just luck out or were they even stronger than China as some pajeets on quora say?
but they did
>>3058041
I read something about India's hot and humid climate making their composite bows fall apart. Same thing in Vietnam.

The Delhi sultanate was in its prime and they barely stopped them. But to answer your question
>or were they even stronger than China
Probably not as they were then.
That's not to say that India didn't have it's warriors. The Rajputs fought against them continuously for the short time they were around

You do not understand how criminal activities work and how large notes allow drug dealers and weapon dealers to easily transport large quantities of cash.
Smaller notes = larger quantities of cash needing to be moved to buy things on black markets.
Think how easy it would be to buy 1 million worth of drugs if you had thousand dollar notes. It's the reason why America and pretty much every nation only goes up to 100. Of course it's entirely different with nations whose dollar is in the shit house.

Did the japanese foreign minister or something consult with the german foreign minister before the attack on pearl harbor? Just to make sure the axis was all down on attacking the US? Or was it completely a one sided attack without asking the germans first?
I'm asking this because I heard that before the attack there was supposedly a brief meeting between the two nations where germany agreed to support japan if they dealt the first blow against the US and that the japanese wouldn't even have attacked if the germans didn't agree with their plans of striking the US. Is that true?
The Japanese rarely contacted each other, let alone other nations

from wikipedia:
>Hitler thus welcomed Japan's sudden entry into the war with its air raid on the American naval base at Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941 and its subsequent declaration of war on the United States and Britain, just as the German army suffered its first military defeat at the gates of Moscow. Upon learning of Japan's successful attack, Hitler even became euphoric, stating: "With such a capable ally we cannot lose this war."[64] Preceding Japan's attack were numerous communiqués between Berlin and Tokyo. The respective ambassadors Ott and Ōshima tried to draft an amendment to the Tripartite Pact, in which Germany, Japan and Italy should pledge each other's allegiance in the case one signatory is attacked by – or attacks – the United States. Although the protocol was finished in time, it would not be formally signed by Germany until four days after the raid on Pearl Harbor.
Also you've maybe heard that when Germany formally declared war on the US, everyone there erupted in celebration, as far as they were concerned the US was already in the war by supplying the UK
I always thought Hitler's pact with Japan was defensive only.

Emperor Meiji and his world is a good book about those.

What royal title is historically the most powerful?
The real power isn't given to you at a coronation, but conquered on the battlefield.
Also, when I was a little kid we made an emperor piece for chess and made it better than the king or queen, because an emperor is better than a king.
>>3061191
"Emperor" is almost always the most powerful, because it strongly implies that you rule over a vast territory. A king can have very localized power, whereas a person must rule over many disparate kingdoms before he may be called "Emperor."
how do i downvote this
>A Roman politician was out canvassing for votes one day, when he happened to stumble across a particular burly man in the streets. Attempting to shake the man's hand, the politician discovered that the hands of man were large, tough, and thick from years of manual labor. The coarse hands of the laborer dwarfed the small, smooth hands of the politician as they shook hands. "Goodness, do you walk on them?" the politician joked as he moved onto the next potential voter. The politician's comment, likely intended as light-hearted banter, was viewed as insult by the laborer and the other working men of the city. The politician found himself defeated in the next election, having alienated the working class against him with his thoughtless remark.
So wait......does this mean that the Roman working class did have power after all? Was it truly a city of progress and enlightenment? Story is paraphrased from SPQR.
there were city dwellers but not what you would call a working class

>cavorting with plebs in the FORVM

Everyone has SOME degree of political influence anon. I have no idea what political rights were legally granted to the lower classes, but just because they could influence an election does not mean they had any. People who could vote might have taken into consideration their opinions for future favors, or a number of other convoluted scenario's could have taken place.
I'm interested in this question as well, hope somebody can provide a good answer.
