So I finally got my 6600K and am trying to get it to 4.5ghz.
I put the vCore at 1.320 and it bsod on loading my desktop. Should I raise it or drop it at this point? I'm on a z170 ud3 with a 212 evo cooling it. Anyone have any advice or tips?

If you have something like that, make sure it isn't on
And yes, now you raise the voltage slightly and retest, thats how this works

So I have a 2010 model MacBook Pro, and am thinking about getting either a ThinkPad X1 Carbon, T460s, or Dell XPS Developer Edition. I'd like something good for development, but also as a math student, so I'm trying to decide if the touch display or 2-in-1 hybrid model would be worth it. I'm interested in running or dual booting Linux as well. Or should I just get another MacBook? Thoughts?

My shitty apartment has a 20A outlet that is supposed to be used with the heater and AC. I don't use the unit provided heater because it's 4,000W but somehow doesn't heat the room well.
I'm tired of tripping the breaker because I forgot to turn off the heater before turning on the vacuum, so I want to use the dedicated 20A outlet. Can I just buy a 15Ato20A adapter and plug my space heater into the 20A outlet?

You can have a hard drive encrypted thinkpad running linux and use a VPN all the time, but none of that matters if your processor is compromised. There should be a libreboot general.
