correct. they won't clock high enough to match though. mark my words.

Yes, and? It's all pointing to me to upgrade to Zen's 8 core. If it's $500-$600, I'm definitely going for it. I might think it over if it's $700+.
I'm having a dumb problem with XFCE4 and I'm hoping you guys can help. I'm just trying to find an applet that i can use in an XFCE4 panel which will scan available WiFi networks and let me connect to one. That's it. It seems so simple, but I can't find what I'm looking for anywhere. The network manager tool built in with XFCE4 doesn't let me scan for available networks as far as I can tell, only connect manually. Can anyone help out here?
Or even if it's not natively an XFCE4 applet i don't really care, I just want to scan for networks

Wicd should come with one
This is of use to me. Thanks
You can do this with the wpa_supplicant GUI, but it's not an XCFE applet.
Just letting you know.

What good books are there on the subject of P = NP, NP-completeness and the like?
I have Fortnow's "The Golden Ticket" and Garey & Johnson's "Computers and Intractability"
How else can I get into the subject and slowly creep towards the forefront of research? Who is actively researching it? What literature/publications can I read to bring me up to speed?

i'm giving a security presentation tomorrow for a couple small businesses, showing them how easy an antivirus can be compromised. little did I know, the zero-day cryptolocker i was using to demonstrate was patched with an update to MSE. does anyone know where i can find a fresh 0 day to run in a VM and kill MSE? i haven't found any really demonstrative ones that I can easily explain to a group of business owners that have not yet been patched. bonus points for scareware AV software.

Install Windows 10 and press the windows key. Tadaa, malware all over the place (;
>>58735740
shitty meme
although i will be demonstrating on stock 10x64
i was thinking of just packing the current payload with the stupid registrykey that kills MSE, rebooting, and then injecting the payload. that could work - right?
You done fucked up OP
Just cancel the presentation
Or use an outdated MSE build

They skipped 9 because it would lead to confusion of Win9 and Win9x.

this. Older applications would check for Windows 9* to determine if running on 95/98.

Fast forward to yesterday (Monday)
>everything's going fine, no issues since I actually gave the card power

Fuck.

What in the fuck would cause a video card to fail with LITERALLY no human input whatsoever? I didn't try to overclock it, I didn't mess with the voltages, I haven't changed the fan curve in 3 years, I didn't even open my fucking case and yet... Go to sleep, wake up, and computer is dead.
Is there anything I could be forgetting? I really don't want to have to go to Fry's and pay $50 for a card that only costs $20 on Newegg.

I have trouble believing that *not* providing power to a device for a few seconds would cause it to break 4 days later.
