Wha happen?
Why is DDR4 RAM so expensive now?
>>59234200
because they wanna milk people for money
companies never make products a fair price just cause it's fair or becausee they can. No, they'll keep driving up the price as much as possible so the fat cats can keep lining money
Why does everyone always think companies are their friends and will do the fair thing?
>>59234200
Hype. A brand new massively hyped line of CPUs are coming out that use it, AMD is phasing out their DDR3 platforms.
Soon enough new systems are all going to be using DDR4, the 'demand' has gone up I suppose.

Let me red pill you on that senpai. AMD AND NVIDIA are a cartel of patents. They hog the GPU patents of the Desktop.
Something similar happens with the CPU patents of the Desktop/x86 that is. If anyone wants to enter he must kiss ass.
Look at Intel itself, in order to have GPU tech, it must kiss AMD ass: http://seekingalpha.com/article/4042977-new-details-intels-ip-deal-collaboration-amd
Further than that, AMD and NVIDIA don't even have their own Foundries. They have to pay fees to others that do have Foundries and as a result they become even more expensive.
That is one of the main reasons that AMD runs behind Intel like a dog on the CPU stage. Intel has their own factories.
NVIDIA is usually making slightly bigger GPUs that are faster and more expensive, but that's their only difference.
If the patents were open to all Foundries for all chips, you would see discreet GPUs at 50% lower prices.
didnt amd sell their foundries?

Daily reminder the cia doesn't want you to learn C. They hate C. They don't want you programming that close to the metal.
They only want you to know nigger cattle languages like java js node ruby etc.

>>59233897
The fact that I don't know what "higher" corresponds to.
How many distros did you go through before you found "the one"?
Never found it...

I chose the best distro from the start, never had a reason to change.

Hello /g/
I used to loathe Vim, but yesterday I had some time to waste and decided to tweak it and learn how to use the simplest commands.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT /G/ this is one meme I am glad I fell for
My question is, how can I install plugins? Like linter or autocomplete, as well as the /g/ essentials. I am using Windows 7 btw and Vim 8.0
Cool blog post
Is Google too hard for you?
>>59233635
>linter
>autocomplete
>plugins
So what you're saying is that vim is great, as long as you can turn it into sublime?
What's the most powerful silent computer to date?

Ha!, but no, as opposed to actively cooled.
>file picker

Whats your comfy distro /g/? The kind of distro you'd use in college? For me ubuntu unity 16.04
macOS on hackintosh
>>59233499
People can say what they want, but mac has good tier aesthetics plus that unix/normie fusion makes it an overall great OS.

Ugliest design ever.
I have the chance to pick up a 1080 for about 500 bucks (farily less expensive than usual for my country) but I'm upgrading from a 970 and I'm worried my CPU will bottleneck the new card quite a bit. It's an ancient i7 2600k. Will I experience performance issues?
>>59233393
>>59233393
pls respond
My i5 2500k still doing everything i throw at it. Even thinking about getting a 7700k is making me think will the performance boost actually be worth the amount spent on it
I forked debinst, rewrote most of it and made an uninstaller. You can download and install .deb packages on any system regardless if it has apt/dpkg.
Nobody cares, weebshit.
>>59233373
Subscribed keep it up.
On a more serious note, you might want to actually link your work.
>>59233373
Nice but where do I get it?
What are you working on, /g/?
Old thread: >>59228724

IIRC you can cast away the const in Rust though.
