Hello /g/
I used to loathe Vim, but yesterday I had some time to waste and decided to tweak it and learn how to use the simplest commands.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT /G/ this is one meme I am glad I fell for
My question is, how can I install plugins? Like linter or autocomplete, as well as the /g/ essentials. I am using Windows 7 btw and Vim 8.0
Cool blog post
Is Google too hard for you?

So what you're saying is that vim is great, as long as you can turn it into sublime?

you install them by downloading them and unzipping them into your vimfiles folder.
Check out the documentation fot its location on Windows.
If you are cool with git, install pathogen, so you can just git clone the plugins you want to have, pathogen will set them up for you.
Just use visual studio with vsvim. It's easier to install one plugin than to install the 100+ ones required to turn vim into an acceptable programming environment.
vim on win looks ugly af
What color scheme is that, OP?>>59233635

Use vundle, which is the best package manager by far. Then use syntactic for linting and youcompleteme for C/C++ autocompletion, language-specific plugins otherwise.

its great either way, sublime came late to the party and sheckled it up hard.
>plugin manager
I use vim plug
>autocompletion
I use mucomplete (use to use ycm)
>linter
ale, works asynchronously
Other plugins I use:
tagbar
nerdtree + nerdtreetabs
undotree
I also use vim-go for golang.
I've posted my vimrc in other threads just do reverse search or search the archive for pastebin links if you really want it.
