I have the chance to pick up a 1080 for about 500 bucks (farily less expensive than usual for my country) but I'm upgrading from a 970 and I'm worried my CPU will bottleneck the new card quite a bit. It's an ancient i7 2600k. Will I experience performance issues?

My i5 2500k still doing everything i throw at it. Even thinking about getting a 7700k is making me think will the performance boost actually be worth the amount spent on it

Jesus I have an i5 3210m that can still handle everything I throw at it. Wait till the time is right to replace that old bad boy. That time is not now.

I have an i5 3300 with an RX480, I have played countless AAA games at 1080p, never had any CPU bottleneck issues, You are going to be absolutely fine. Well there isn't a reason to upgrade yet.
