Why would anyone buy AMD graphics card? What's the appeal? nVidia beats them in every category and price point. They're not even good in noise and power efficiency.

nVidia is even better in Vulkan. You can check it yourself. The nVidia Vulkan drivers are better and more stable and support all extensions. Same with OpenGL. nVidia supports 4.5 and the drivers are much better than AMD. Literally check any gamedev blog and you can confirm it.

What the fuck are you smoking?

Nvidia at most gets 10 fps from Vullkan, while amd gets over 20, rx 480 gets 40.

It's over for Nvidia.

Most secure operating systems?

MacOS vs. Windows 10 vs. Linux

iOS vs. Android

Which side wins when it comes to being the most secure? Do the Macfags win? What about the Android and Linux and Winfags?

Serious discussion only pls

As a developer I don't understand why other debs prefer shitty AWS or open source crap. And Java? What horse shit. Not to mention toxic communities like Haskell. MS makes good shit and C# is a hella good language. Fuk that hipster shit.

because Windows is not as obscure als their meme distributions and it's not as hip as applel. other than that, Windows is just fine.
>>
>>59619177
No. Just no. C is the superior programming language and Windows is absolute trash. I'll never use anything but OS X and Linux. Windows server is made for retards and makes it difficult to get things done in an efficient manner. Powershell is a clusterfuck and bash on buttbuntu on Windows is a poor method of compensation. Microsoft and their stupid backwardass products make my life so much more difficult than it has to be.

I hope they keep doing what they've been doing. It'll make it easier to convince my corporate overlords to switch to Ubuntu or RHEL.

Think this is amazing?

What if I told you Ryzen actually has a integrated voltage regulator (like Broadwell/Haswell) that's NOT even enabled for desktops? It's ignored and the motherboard regulator is used. But will be enabled for server and mobile platforms?

Neat, huh?

https://youtu.be/bIbwuLdHbMg?t=740

https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/ryzen-strictly-technical.2500572/
>The internal voltage regulation (dLDO)

>Zeppelin is the first design in which AMD has extensively utilized integrated voltage regulators. Unlike the fully integrated voltage regulator (FIVR) used in Haswell and Broadwell CPUs, AMD's regulator implementation isn't based on ultra-high speed switching circuitry. >The integrated voltage regulators in Zeppelin are ultra-high efficiency digital low-dropout (dLDO) type of regulators. Most of the different domains (cores, caches, data fabric, etc.) have their own dLDOs and they can all be controlled individually.

>Despite the presence of the dLDOs, the consumers can ignore them completely. This is because in the consumer parts most of the dLDOs (all except some of the minor domains) are permanently placed in a by-pass mode. This means that actual regulators are disabled and all of the voltage regulation takes place on the motherboard, just like on the previous generation CPUs and APUs.

Intel's 5 years of power efficiency completely obliterated by a company 10 times its size, it's fucking hilarious.
A company without its own fabs to boot, running its first gen 14nm CPU.

I don't even know what to say to this.

An 8+ thread CPU would boost your encode times quite a bit. I use an old FX-8350 for encoding and that's a bit faster than my i5-4690. Probably not worth it unless your subs go into the thousands though.
