Ditch that ssd. Want cheep but good? Skhynix 308. 6600k is fine, I have one, but you kinda need a z170 chipset instead of a B. Here in burgerland, the 6700k is now $300 instead of $350, so maybe you could think about that, and decide if the cash is worth it(if the price drop is the same in AU.)

What would you guys pair to an RX 460? I'm thinking of an FX-4300 but not sure.
Also, what are the AMD chipsets to completely avoid?

Anything starting with FX is to be avoided at all costs. You're literally better off with an Intel pentium g4560.

my 4300 was trusty and working perfectly up until i changed to a 8350, its new owner had no problems with it so far(2 years), and ever since that 8350 works perfectly

Are you a paid AMD poster?
Even AMD doesn't use their own FX series for benchmarking because it simply doesn't perform as well as it's intel counterpart. The only place where the FX series shines is in synthetic benchmarks and then only they do well at 'cost performance'.

A dual core i3 or even Pentium g4560 heavily outperforms the 8350 on applications such as gaming.
