So Im thinking of becoming a sysadmin or a netadmin. Anyone here work in that field? What are your thoughts and experiences with those careers? Sounds like a cool job, I like building/ taking apart computers and I enjoy problem solving.

I was sysadmin for a few years and it's a good work. If you will find a good team of people to work with you are golden. Me for example, I had a grate team but got offer from other company for much more $$. Of course I took it and every day for six months the first word that came to my mind was "fuck". The level of twatness in this work was beyond anything I ever witnessed so if you can do some research before you will decide where to start your career.

lol that's some /r/homelab tier shit where people put 24 cores and 256GB RAM in their seed boxes or """home""" servers
>>
>>60706350
I can understand the the use of a 8 core monstrosity if dual 10GbE is saturated and especially if it's running some VPNs or VMs.

But for home NAS? Way overkill.

This thread is for the discussion of NyaaPantsu (pantsu.cat), a free (FOSS) torrent indexer, and other nyaa alternatives.
The aim of this project is to write a fully featured nyaa.se replacement in golang that anyone will be able to deploy locally or remotely.

>Why is Pantsu down/error 502?
Most likely because the team is deploying changes. Wait for a bit and refresh the page. It should be mostly stable now.

News
>AniDex and .si scrapers are done (deployment soon)
>Elastic search is fixed and has been optimized
>Trying to ensure pantsu uptime (over 90% now)
>Possible AniDB integration (shanaproject like)
>Working on CSRF protection
>Improving SEO
>Adding auto-refreshing
>Theme fix up is still ongoing (made more consistent)
>Sessions no longer expire when we restart
>Actual config files
>More mod tools
>Deployment script updates
>Various bug fixes and general improvements

Is it bad that I use Arch just so I can say I use arch? honestly I feel like my life would be a lot easier (and i'd be happier) if i just used noobuntu instead of trying to get my wifi to work for two weeks.

Since the dawn of man, people have tried to simplify their life. If you think overcomplicating is cool, you have fallen in the meme pit and you need to get your ass out. I know it's rewarding to tinker with Linux, but at the end of the day, you want more time to shitpost than to setup your OS.
>>
Can you even imagine, how easy and productive would've been your life were you to just use Win10 instead of trying to be yet another special snowflake in this special snowfall?

Fuck AT&T and their throttling bullshit. It's officially throttling me so badly I can't use basic features on my phone like mms. Having to post this through fucking wifi. I'm a goddamn unlimited customer and an att customer for more than 5 years without ever missing a bill. Will definitely be looking elsewhere at the end of my contract. Anyone else deal with this bullshit?

Why not look at their service right now?
Like, call them, ask about their service and why it isn't being like they stated in their contract and do the simple tests they will make you do.
Once they see something is wrong or not according to their contract they will fix it in no time.
Last time I had issues was when I could only connect to social networking apps but nothing more and it was fixed in 5 mins tops.

Why the fuck would you pay for AT&T when Verizon is cheaper? (When it comes to Unlimited Data)
90 a month for Unlimited data when Verizon has more coverage and is cheaper lol
