How likely is it that we'll see a new internet emerging in the next decades?
I mean new in the sense that the technology is new and current techniques / languages will be obsolete, and by internet I mean as widely used as the current internet is today.
The closest thing to new would be the internet of things but ultimately i don't think it would change much considering the only requirement is more address which is part of IPv6.
>>60699444
It will be a mesh network of IoT devices, will be worse than internet 2.0, and nerds on /g/ will adjust their rose tinted glasses lamenting over the long lost days when the web was good.
>>60699941
Incorrect.
A "new" internet would be a decentralised mesh network.
>dropped and broke the display screen for my S5
>repair guy says part is $120 and service is $45
>will take 1-2 weeks for part to ship
>you can buy a refurbished, warrantied S5 for $135 on amazon prime
why do repair places offer smartphone repair again?
>>60699245
lmao kys you clumsy fuck.
>>60699258
suicide machine broke
>>60699245
Why don't you just fix it yourself?
Has anyone thought that they could just upload movies, shows and otherstuff and just private it.
Copyright algorithm scans private listings.
>>>/g/sqt next time.
>>60698120
It's possible to scramble video image with a filter, upload the video and then on streaming back use a filter in reverse order. Same goes for audio. The scrambling mechanic needs to be somewhat compression proof.
>>60698233
devious.
Please add a way to hide mass-reply comments. Every fucking time I go to check a reply for an interesting comment it's some fucking goon who thinks he's funny for replying to everyone in the thread

Some desktop addons have the feature, I can't imagine it'd be that hard to add
What's the reason for Clover's removal from the Play Store again? I thought Google allowed Chan apps as long as 18+ boards were non-default, so why does he not do that?
Who are the tech leaders of today?

Stay with Jessie or move to Stretch? I'm comfy with Jessie but Stretch does look interesting.
Stretch your hole for Jessie
>>60697253
>stay comfy or fuck my shit up senpai?
You sound like a cuck.
I use Stretch, have used Jessie for a few years, honestly it just werks, the open source AMD drivers are way less of a pain for dual monitors than the ones for 8.
RIP the power supply from my ghetto build (OCed FX-8370E, OCed RX460, OCed HezperXs and 4x various HDDs). I had this fucker for like a month. Was like 15$ new. Rated at 350W I took like 200-250W from it.
I guess the 3.3V rail died. 3/10 no shrapnel or any other component.
Don't fall for the cheap power supply meme guys.
Next up is some 250W FSP server PSU I just found!
>>60696849
Only retards will tell you it's ok to OC on a cheap PSU. You didn't fall for a meme, you're just a dumbass.
>>60697233
Nah. I've just used whatever I had lying around. Also it's not like I've exceeded the specs of the PSU.
>>60697275
>I've just used whatever I had lying around.
so basically you're saying you're a dumbass?
ARM desktops are coming. Between this and a bunch of companies collaborating on RISC-V hardware it looks like the x86 monopoly in the desktop/laptop market may be ending.

>>60699270
Good. x86 deserves to die. It's an unhealthy, uncompetitive market full of stagnation, antitrust breaches, and lack of growth.
>ARM
>on Windows
So you're trying to sell a product that doesn't have the one and only selling point of your platform, 3rd party software.
Thanks Microsoft for paving your own way to oblivion lol
>>60699437
It has a compatibility layer, dumbass.
thoughts on solidworks?
>>60696581
Probably the wrong forum, but it's easily the best 3D modeling program available. It's not the best for analysis, but if you want something that is fast and easy to design with it's the best.
Well, it has a nice driveshaft cutaway, but it doesn't look graphically realistic and their logo could use some work.
>>60696581
Pretty good program for 3D modeling, shit for everything else.
sir do the needful and wait please sir
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WE DON'T NEED MORE GENERALS FUCK OFF PAJEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
>>60699110
>old gpu is dying
>still more than 3 months till Vega and then probably another 3 months waiting till it's actually in stock
Do you agree with this /g/?
What exactly does "emotional design" mean?
>>60696424
Emojis and/or smileyfaces in error messages.
>>60696416
What the fuck is emotional design?
I'm trying to cover files from a RAW usb, but I cant find any partitions, even with a deep search. I can see there is 200mb used in the USB drive but its data is raw.
I managed to do this before with a HDD by creating a new partition and then.... I'm forgetting the next step. Any ideas?
>>60695893
recuva werks.

>>60695969

I already updated. No issues whatsoever, as usual.
Feels good man.

I'd be too ashamed to whisper this to the mirror never mind loudly announce it to everyone on a Botswanian Upholstery broad
