>At about 4:37 at the T-Mobile located at 9600 66th St. North in Pinellas Park, a woman walked in hoping to have her phone fixed.

>She gave it to the employee, 25-year-old Roberto Sanchez-Ramos, with the understanding that he would reboot and reactivate the service on her phone.

>Afterwards, she noticed that her email had been accessed and her sexually explicit video was sent to an email believed to belong to the store employee.

>He was arrested and charged with offenses against computer users and scheme to defraud.

I tried the Ubuntu subsystems on Windows, and it honestly doesn't work as well as I had expected. Files made on either windows or linux are not immediately visible on the other until after a reboot.

Linux doesn't have the Spyware(tm) if you care about that.
I have a laptop where the wireless driver actually doesnt work well on windows, but dual-booting into linux it works fine.

I wouldn't count it out yet. It still has ext4 which doesn't fragment and can be more lightweight.
>>
>>60697930
>and can be more lightweight.
I meant Linux can be configured to be more lightweight than windows.

Window managers like i3 are also absent on Windows.

if it really is 182 fps on a crossfire setup, this puts an individual vega at higher than a 1080ti

Have we already forgotten how AMD tried to say 2 480s were as strong as a single 1080? I'm gonna wait on more benchmarks before I believe anything

What are some of the ways of earning real money with programming? How do you make money /g/?

legal:
>webdev/front-end/pseudo-programming
extreme competition, overcrowded, pajeets, wage slave, freelancing a.k.a. "i'll suck ur dick for 5$", trash etc.
>back-end/low-level
less competition, generally good pay but that one advantageous position has already been filled by someone else (probably a dinosaur) and now you have to deal with cheap ass shitty employers who want you to also write j*vascript and use even more shitty frameworks so they can cut down their expenses.
>cybersecurity/whitehats/hackers-in-suits
less-to-moderate competition, fair enough pay thanks to the constant fear created by blackhatz, safest bet in the long run.
>entrepreneurship/startup
just kys pls

semi-legal:
>aimbots, wallhacks, trainers, cheats etc.
moderate competition, actually it is more about marketing than programming.
>blackhat seo
i said programming

illegal (a.k.a. i am a retarded dumbass who risks his/her own freedom):
>corporate espionage
less-to-moderate competition, gotta have contacts somehow, good pay.
>ransomware
high competition, good pay, +bad karma for being an asshole.
>state-sponsored contractorship
?? competition, good pay, +bad karma cuz government surveillance.

>illegal
If you're the law everything is legal. Or do you mean illegal in the country you aren't in? In which case who really cares? It's not like anyone wants to go to mainland China or Russia. US alphabet soups get away with literal rape all the time.
>How do you make money
I write firmware for networking devices. Spoiler alert, everything has telemetry. I make plenty but I'm mostly just grinding work experience and pouring money into student loans right now. Going to try to get in with Intel, since they're all about the Cloud™ now.

>Google Play is teaming up with Warner Bros and Made with Code to release a new interactive coding project that encourages women to learn coding skills.

The tech giant hopes to convince more teen girls and women to consider pursuing a career in computer science, engineering, or games.

Through the project, young girls will be able to code three unique scenes from the film, using introductory coding principles to help Wonder Woman navigate obstacles and reach her objective.

As part of the collaboration, Google Play, Made with Code, and Warner Bros are also bringing together over 100 teen girls from L.A. to an advance screening of the new Wonder Woman movie.

"Wonder Woman’s struggle is more relevant today than ever, especially in the technology space, since girls are less likely than boys to be encouraged to pursue computer science and only 22 percent of gaming developers are women," reads a press release.

"We hope Wonder Woman's message of empowerment inspires teen girls, and women, to build confidence in pursuing careers in computer science, engineering, gaming -- or whatever their dreams may be."

Women can decide for themselves and apparently, they don't want to become software developers. I really don't understand the push for them to pursue a career in a field most of them don't like.
