Anyone here got windows 10 education? any negatives or positives compared to home? I just built a computer and I need a operating system and this shit is free and legal so will it do all the normal windows 10 home can?
It used to be the perfect version of Windows 10 but then MS added Cortana to the creators update.

>any negatives or positives compared to home?
It's basically Enterprise with a different label on it. Main feature is built-in disk encryption (BitLocker, though you should learn group policies before trying to use it because the defaults are stupid) and group policies to kill telemetry more extensively.
>this shit is free and legal
Also, assuming it's part of Imagine, https://imagine.microsoft.com/en-us/about/LicenseAgreement

Don't use windows unless you absolutely HAVE to.
Even if it requires running MS Office or games in a VM
So guys since my laptop is overheating quite often what do you suggest me to buy to help it stay cooler? Are vacuum coolers (pic related) a meme? Should I buy a base fan instead?
>base fan
Literally does nothing. It's <2 degrees difference unless you remove your laptop's bottom cover.
I never heard of those before, they look cool but who knows, you could go RMS style and blow a room fan on your computer
also that pic is retarded, it looks like its sucking hot air out of the laptop and cooling it for the room
shouldnt have bought a trash laptop
stop gaming on it, disable gpu dedicated gpu, underclock cpu
Why did programming go from "for women" to "not for women"?
When it got hard
When it stopped just being tedious repetitive garbage. Writing simple programs by today's standards in ASM or Cobol or whatever wasn't really hard it was just really annoying and time consuming. Literally like typist/secretary work.
Tech is still open to women they just seem to not give a shit and no amount of slogans or marches is gonna change that

When it began to involve creativity and vision
Ayye my work laptop is slow as fuck so I wanna re-install Windows but when I try to get the iso from microsoft they simply refuse to give it to me because "this product key is for pre-installation only". So where can I safely download the iso + product key?
Sorry for the stupid question I don't use proprietairy OSes on my home computers so i'm not used to this kinda shit.
give it back jamal
>>60926986

Just factory reset / recover
I'm gonna make some big bucks today! Some pleb has all his VAT shit on a decrepit PC with a failing hard disk and NO backup. If I can recover it all I am wondering how much I should charge him.

Nokia is still alive?
>>60926940
They only sold the phone business to Microsoft. Now they're licensing Nokia as phone brand to HMD (with HQ next to Nokia in Espoo) but that's just a tiny part of their business. Their main thing is wired and wireless networks..

How do we kill webkit?
We used to have presto but it is now dead. Somebody leaked the source code but opera still won't let it go and change its fucking license.
What do we do?

Just use firefox if you don't like webkit

Fucking this. I can't wait until we have a full web browser using Servo.
I've been mining Bitcoin on genesis for a month now, and I'm curious if other anons have had any luck with cloud mining in general?
I've been mining zcash but the output is dropping daily, and I don't know if that's because of the zec network difficulty or if it's because the value of zec is going up, and whether or not genesis is paying out less because it's worth more?
It doesn't make sense that the hash power drops daily if the DAG is updated with new epochs. Hoping some fellows can shed some light.
Cheers.
>>60926812
So you fell for the meme right?
ETC is the future
cloud mining is a massive scam and you are fucking retarded.
why would a mining company sell you their profits? usually they're a ponzi scheme
did you even do any research before you paid for this shit?
