Best bang for your buck internal HDDs? In terms of performance, capacity etc. I'm getting tired of Seagate failures so lets ignore those... Unless you know of some model with failure rates comparable to the competition!

Just got my surface studio, i7/32gb. fan is on all the time, disk 50C, GPU 60C when idle.
Fully patched, drivers OK.
Is it faulty hardware or that's the operating temperature?

And that is why AIOs are dumb
>>60930938
Probably normal. Those temps are not anywhere near harmful though.
You need to test at load to make any kind of conclusion.

Is it worth it right now to get a 4K TV?
If not now, when?
>>60930898
If you're going to be consuming 4k content then sure it's worth it, however if you're just going to be upscaling your content don't bother and just get a high quality 1080p panel.
>>60931066
high quality 1080p tvs dont exist anymore.
>>60930898
Of course not.
When? when 4K is the 1080p of the day.
Can you force yourself to like programming?
What would you say to someone who's good at it, but dosen't enjoy it?
"What's your fucking problem, retard?"

No.

There are better earning jobs for unambitious people.
No you can't force yourself.
If it doesn't click with you, you will always hate it.
I know it's optimal to replace thermal paste every 6 months, but what about cleaning the CPU contacts? I live in a only slightly harsh environment (hits 80% humidity on bad days, and across the street from a lake), so I've just been doing it every 2 weeks with some CRC contact cleaner, but I just got pic related, which is a contact cleaner that also protects, so I'm hoping I can push that out to a couple of months between cleanings. Am I doing it too often? Can I get away with just doing it every 6 months when I change thermal paste since I have the good stuff now?
>>60930815
I'll answer in case you're not baiting and actually retarded
Replace thermal paste every 2 years and don't fuck with the CPU contacts
>>60930815
>it's optimal to replace thermal paste every 6 months
You really don't need to do it that often. Not at least with the specific intention. Heatsink must be taken off first to properly clean out dust. This of course requires reapplication of the paste.
Otherwise changing the paste every 2 years is enough.
>cleaning the CPU contacts
why.jpg there's no dust or goo under there
>>60930815
anon i found that replacing thermal paste on a weekly basis really helps with temperature management.
As far as cpu contacts I only do that every year when i take my build apart and clean all components thoroughly including washing the case with pressurized lance, because I-m kinda lazy.
Our family airport business moved recently, and I'm setting up the network. My uncle refuses to get fiber optic or satellite, and cable isn't offered out here. However, he did get a hotspot. It works ok for the business, but 2 of the 3 computers are Ethernet only. Is there a box like pic related that takes WiFi and makes it into hardline internet?
>>60930552
yes I believe it's called a wifi extender, idk
but the ethernet out of the extender would still be shit though, maybe a bit stable
