Whenever I start running I get an ache or pain in my chest. It's usually to the left of my sternum or center chest bone. It's not painful, just really uncomfortable.

What could be causing this?

I have asthma but it doesn't seem like an asthma related issue because I'm still able to breathe fine. I played lacrosse and hockey for a long time and never had this issue until maybe 3 months ago up to now.

Anyone here lose fat before they started lifting?

I'm currently 20% Bodyfat (measured with calipers), at 109kg/242lbs and 195cm untrained, but I have some chest, back and leg development, from genetics supposedly.

I'm thinking about trying to cut to 14-12% with cardio and a large calorie deficit, and then starting a lifting routine (Focused on appearance, not so much strength).

I'd appreciate feedback if this plan is horrendously stupid, otherwise any similar experience and advice accordingly would be great.

I don't think your goal is dumb but why would you put off lifting when you can be doing it at the same time? Lifting will help yout with your goal. Also just from personal experience, I have doubts about your 20% bodyfat estimate given your stats and being untrained.

I've been down that road about 8 years ago, it's gonna probably be the hardest thing you'll do, I know it was for me, I lost 100lbs in 7-8 months no lie. I only did cardio and calorie deficit but my body composition went to shit and had loose skin so please don't go that route. Here's a little list of advices I wish I had.

Eat right, not too little and not too many carbs/sugar/sodium.
HIIT (30 seconds sprint/1min rest or 30 sec rest) will make you MELT
Still do hypertrophy training but don't worry too much about hitting macros and calories for building muscle, it's about keeping your body from becoming a deflated balloon
Aloe vera/gotu kola/ lotion your body to keep it taunt and reduce loose skin
Keto/IF for a month if you hit a big plateau, but wait later on
It's hard but think about that feeling of taking your shirt off at the beach, think of how embarassed you would be to be naked with a hot girl, it will keep you going
Sometimes you have to turn your brain off and just do it, diet or workouts
Don't cheat for at least a month, and do cheat MEALS not cheat DAYS

I'm working 12 hours a day 6 days a week.

There isn't going to be a solution to the schedule question too many vacancies and my job is good wages for my location.

I've adjusted to the work schedule and want to get back to lifting. I can do an hour at the gym and no more. But, I can be in the gym each and every day plus I prefer it that way.

Is the Reddit PPL or nsuns 531 too much volume?

I like the bulky look in other women and want to emulate it, however from what I gather it's basically impossible without roiding, which I refuse to do.

Lifting is helping me with depression & eating disorder so just keeping it up for that honestly. And girls who weight train seem to have great bodies so that's something to aspire to
