>dude go to a local chain! muh family business! muh mom and pop! the quality is way better!
>go to place 1
>sauce is extremely sweet yet also sour at the same time, pepperoni is drowned in grease
>go to place 2
>crust is very chewy and large, as if the yeast was uncooked or some shit, also a bunch of cheese is overflowing from the whole thing, it looks and tastes gross
>go to place 3
>its decent, again to much cheese but better than the first 2, main thing is that its expensive and not worth its price
Meanwhile...
>go to dominos/papa johns
>usually have deals and good prices
>i know what im getting
>taste is very consistent and good, thinner crust but not flat, crust is brushed with garlic, even spread of cheese, sauce, and toppings
>my pepperoni is usually even a bit crisp at dominos, something i like
Is there anything worse than elitist faggots who hold shitty local restaurants over your head and say how perfect they are, while saying big chains are bad? They are like the "IM A VEGAN!" of the pizza world. Fucking queers
>>9109632
>crust is brushed with garlic
Domino's ruined their pizza with this bullshit. Fuck Little Caesar's too.
>>9109649
No way. Dominos is the only pizza crust I eat since the garlic brushed on at the end tastes wonderful. But I also do like garlic in general.
>>9109632
>Is there anything worse than elitist faggots
>Says this while acting like an elitest faggot.
Why do drinks always taste better in a bottle than in a can? Whenever I have a Miller Lite or a Bang's Root Beer it always tastes twice as better from the bottle. Is the aluminum can putting something in my drink to make it taste worse?
tap/fountain > glass bottles > cans > plastic bottles
That is the objectively correct ranking.
>>9109573
Bang's root beer forced meme thread but cheap cans might make the drink taste like metal, although beer in cans sometimes taste better since they receive less light, and light spoils beer.
>>9109607
>tap/fountain > glass bottles > cans > plastic bottles
>tap/fountain > brown glass bottle > cans > green glass bottle > clear glass bottle > plastic bottles
>>9109573
My theory is that it has something to do with the way liquid pours from a can vs a bottle. Personally, I prefer to pour all my drinks into a giant mug.
tap/fountain > glass bottles > cans > plastic bottles
I agree with all of this except the tap/fountain part. Taps and fountains tend to be wildly inconsistent.
Dear /ck/ how do I get past my pickyness? I want to eat more vegetables and sauces and that sort. Do I just need to suck it up and eat it?
Are you literally four years old?
Millennials were a mistake
>>9109468
If you make a smoothie you can literally suck it up.
>>9109477
Don't this one on Millennials, paw-paw, your generation started this shit.

How are you holding up fellow alcohols?
On my longest sober stint in 4 years.
Drank 4 times this month. 4 nights sober right now. Its so boring and im so lonely.but the consequences of drinking are awful too. All of you have my sympathies.
Few months sober, on the way to getting /fit/. Hoping the remaining mystery pains I have are just wear and tear and I haven't gone to all this effort just to drop dead anyway.
Just got a new job, waiting on my paycheck. Might inhale a six pack, but not going heavy just yet. I usually pay my bills first, so I'd say that qualifies me as a functioning alcoholic. Some days are better than others, of course.
Favorite kinds? Favorite ways to use them? I like raisins and cranberries a lot in overnight oatmeal
enjoy your diabetes, fatty

i love dried fruit.
dried mango is amazing. like a fruit jerky
dried apricots in particular are packed with vitamins and minerals.
itt : food sins
>warming up pizza
>caring how people prefer their meals
>>9107515
>managing to fail at eating
This thread has potential.
>underseasoning potentially delicious dishes
>throwing spice blends at everything
>overcooking chicken breast
>killing the color of vegetables
>improperly storing food in the fridge (leaving leftovers in pans or on plates, wrapping things with tin foil instead of cling film, etc.)
>using premade shit that you can make easily and more deliciously
>fucking up the timing when building stews (adding a more delicate ingredient at the same time as you're browning the meat, adding fresh herbs too soon, etc.)
>not fully draining the poached egg, so there's water in the ramekin/on the plate
>letting lemon seeds into anything that calls for lemon juice
>not allowing meat to rest
I can list about a hundred more, too.
Seems like much of modern day and traditional European cuisine wouldn't exist if it werent for the discovery of the Americas and the subcontinent. What was the cuisine like around Europe before Euro colonialism?
Heaps of great stuff was in Europe.
Silverbeet, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, leek, carrot, onion, brussel sprouts, broad beans, that kind of stuff.
Olive oil and lentils were popular around southern Europe as well as wine.
Cheeses have been common for ages
Seafood, goat, pig, rabbit etc;

Sorry America but pizza is not a vegetable
Dinner, /ck/, and you?
Rate and post your own
>>9107253
doesn't look awful, i'd eat it up with a side of bbq or honey mustard to dip the chicken in.
>>9107257
The chicken was tender and juicy as fuark, pan fried after a coat of flour and cajun spices
Anyone gonna post their food?
Why isn't pizza the most nutritious fast food? It's combination of ingredients perfectly hits what you need for a balanced diet making it a vegetable; even more if you get some meat toppings for protein so it helps with muscle building.
It's a great food but people just eat too much of it
>>9106408
This, anything is ok in moderation.
Reminder that Obama's wife officially rebranded the pizza as vegetable.
I ran out of real cheese
>>9105505
You have made a mistake that you will soon come to regret.
>>9105514
This. No cheese > processed cheese """"food""""
You also ran out of
A real pan
A real stove top
A real spoon
And im guessing here...is that "meat" in the pan?
problem?
>>9105224
homemade McRibs tonight!!!
I fucking hate all of you
I bought this, for 2.99 plus deposit and tax and it was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted
Fuck all of you and the /sip/ meme

Offal thread!
Favorite recipes, dishes, combinations, etc.
Google searches yield little more than "you should cook more offal" and liver and onions recipes.
Hungry for more.
They've started stocking beef tongue at my grocery store, what should I make with it that's spicy?
>>9097939
Don't make tongue spicy. Garlic, mushrooms, cream.
>>9097939
You could probably do tacos or similar, though I would keep the spicy as an undertone. Noticable, but not too much.
Also, beef tongue makes great yakitori if you're in the mood for jap food.
Came across this half dome bread, so strange with sticky top
>>9096330
k. Thanks.
Did it taste good, though?
looks very erotic
Welcome to the /ck/ challenge: Vote Thread: Berries But Not Dessert Edition
****
The theme for this month was Berries In A Savory Context
****
Dishes are judged on the following criteria, so keep that in mind when voting:
-Presentation: The appearance of items on the plate; plating skills
-Originality: Creativity in composing the dish
-Appeal: How appetizing the food looks/whether or not the dish appeals to your personal taste as a voter
-Challenge Goals: How closely the entry followed the challenge goal(s)
The distinction between Presentation and Appeal: If someone submits an artfully arranged but burnt steak as an entry, it may score high in Presentation but low in appeal.
While you're voting, or not voting, why not suggest a theme for next month?
Then people can vote on that, or not.
