why is there still cured meats and brined meats when refrigeration is available? it seems like needlessly ruining perfectly good fresh meat. not to mention all the extra sodium intake.
>>9213935
Nothing wrong with sodium intake if you're not a 40 year old with hypertension.
it tastes good

>He doesn't grow his own grain and mill his own flour to avoid buying denatured flour by big Pharma & Co

Keep being sheep. The government loves feeding you Government Modified Organisms and Pasteurizations.
I buy bread made locally from locally milled flour made from locally grown grain all the time.

Why would I do it myself when a farmer do it very well 20km from me and all natural (with proof) ?
>>9213914
>have a job

I've been there, and will be again.
not food
you stick them in the microwave so the beams can shake their little molecules
they only exist as sponges for vibrating molecules from the microwave
I used to think they were awesome when I was a kid, but now they're barely palatable
Which country's cuisine does this dish belong to?
french italian border perhaps but more likely that its just something someone threw together

Probably French, on the other hand gnocchi suggests it's Italian

Kraft dinner with mushroom scallions and black pepper. Step your game up.

Needs more ketchup

I'd eat that but I'm stoned right now. That would take a chimp about four minutes to make.

I work as a prep cook and am tired of being the only one in the kitchen not having their own knife.

Wusthof Classic Ikon
Japanese knives are harder and sharper, but you will need to buy a whetstone and learn how to use it if you want to keep them sharp.
>>9213043
>you don't need to sharpen german knives
You are delusional.
is there a more aesthetically pleasing beer can than pabst?
>>9213001
None that I've found. It's bretty gud for day-drinking too. PBR + PBJ + potato chips is a GOAT lunch.

Came here to let you all know that this is a bad thread and you shouldnt post here.
I love lentils. Lets talk lentils.
What do you guys do with yours? I buy a kroger bag of it for a dollar. Boil and simmer them for 20 minutes. Then store them in the fridge and have a bowl mixed with peas, carrots, spinach, and tomato with some smoked paprika and red hot chili pepper flakes dumped on top, mix it around. I store it and just make a bowl of this when I don't feel like cooking anything else. Cheap, filling, healthy, and most importantly, delicious.
I winged a lentil and potato curry. Pretty good but they came out a little gritty.
They taste like dirt, right? That's just how lentils taste?
Kinda like dirt?
>>9212918
Curries are fucking disgusting but potatoes....I should try throwing some potato chunks into a bowl of lentil stew, good thinking!
Now that the dust has settled, can we all agree that fennel/anise is the best toothpaste flavor?

Auntie Annes are terrible fake pretzels. Dear God, pretzels don't need to submerged in a butter vat!
It's only lack of knowledge that you can buy giant german style pretzels in the bread section at Wal-Mart as to why anyone would go get some butter dipped baked pretzel that was never boiled first.
Oh Whole Foods bakery has them too starting in Sept for Oktoberfest.
>>9212767
Good to see sriracha and buffalo wings meme'd their way into the top 3. I'm voting for dill pickle because that actually sounds good.
