Start cooking easy meals for breakfast. Breakfast food is the easiest stuff to start with, is ubiquitous and generally fairly consistent ingredient-wise, and will be a good first step to cooking.

That's why you want to do really easy, braindead stuff to start with.
Scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. Anybody can do that and they aren't thought intensive. Even the Ramsay and Heston methods for scrambling eggs aren't hard to do.

For me, it's Brown's in Nashville. Best burger that I don't cook for myself. Flatter, wider patties for more surface area are GOAT. Fries are cut in-house too, can't beat that shit. Pretty much every meal comes to under ten bucks too.
Also, in case any oldfags are feeling hotheaded, no posting that diner we're not allowed to talk about. I don't want this thread deleted.

I've got this recipe with a sauce that calls for 200ml white wine, 200ml chicken stock, simmer and reduce.
I've made it before, I wanted more sauce, but I'm not sure if it is the same to put in 400ml of each, or if it should be a different ratio. I can't go and buy more ingredients to remake the sauce if I fuck it up this time
What do you think?

Also don't forget it might take a bit longer to cook now, there's more mass to heat and more liquid to reduce off. Technique wise it's the exact same though, there's just more of it
