What are you drinking/cellaring/homebrewing? Any fall seasonals you're looking forward too?

Finally got around to trying pic related and I like it a lot. This time last year imperial stouts tasted too boozy for me so I'm hoping I can get into them more this winter.

Try oatmeal yeti. Or any form of yeti really. Great imperial stout. I'm gonna be cracking this guy open tonight. Excited to finally try the stuff. Obviously not my picture.

Brandy is overrated as a luxury drink but underrated as a mid-shelf comfy daily evening ritual.
>>

>comfy daily evening ritual
Lots of drinks are good for that admittedly but nothing touches brandy
Also saw your pic related at the airport for like $3000. Can't even imagine the taste
>>
>>9359095
I think it's because brandy/fruit brandy is extra comfy because it has more of a warming sensation than grain based spirits.

If you ever want to switch things up you should try some Calvados if you haven't already.

I've seen so many posts here lately of total newbies. People asking things like "I'm 30 how do I survive?" and "My mom is out of town, how do I cook rice?"
Let's turn the burners to low and post some cheap easy recipes that can fuel a NEET or a
>broke college student

We're making rice and beans. Cost is under $3.

Goya beans - I would use black but this is all I have
Onion - I would use a whole one but this is all I have
Garlic
Sazon
Adobo
1 cup rice rinsed or not
Chicken broth, homemade or use water. The broth adds to mouth feel
I'm using some corn because I like it.

Use about 2 tsp of oil, I chose grapeseed oil, over medium heat gently sautee the onions. I like to get mine just when they start to brown on the edges.

This is not a shitpost, a joke, a troll, or anything of the sort.

I'm here to tell you that this actually does work.

You'll want to get some thicker and/or rougher chips, which can support the gravy better, but the concept is sound.

Also, going fancy with the gravy was a mistake - just do the basic turkey gravy and add some salt and pepper.

idk Mario Batali hates it

I find it ok, my mother also hates it though and she is a perfect person so it must be bad
>>
Not really worthwhile in my opinion. If you can even find a decent one that's not overripe in the States, lug the heavy spiky thing home, and are skilled at disassembling these motherfuckers, then sure, I guess it's an 'ok' experience, but it's too much trouble for something I don't even like all that much. If I'm gonna carry heavy ass fruit home with me from the store it be a watermelon over a durian any day of the week,
