that's burgers for you
What's the appeal of fish? I've never really eaten it because I didn't like the smell and so just never came round to it.
Also ITT share seafood dishes because I'd like to start trying fish and expanding my palette a little.
It has the satisfaction of eating meat, a wide variety of tastes depending on the fish and the cut, pairs well with innumerable other foods and drink, and is generally low in fat but high in other essential oils and vitamins that are hard to find in similar concentrations elsewhere.
Do you live near the ocean? If yes go to a local fish market.
If no go catch your own fresh water fish, batter it up and fry it. Serve with a condiment of your choosing. I grew up eating it with ketchup so I still use that.
>>9358386
Oh you can smoke or pickle the fresh water fish as well.
hey /ck/. I want to try to get a job at a nice restaurant, I can do the lowliest work, I really don't care, but hopefully I could work my way up the ladder. My experience isn't that much, I've worked at a sub place, at panera bread, and at a diner, all three as a cook/prepper. Any steps I could take to get a job like this? Should I aim for a midtier restaurant first for more experience? I consider myself a good worker, I am very detail oriented and enjoy making food that looks good. I hate putting meals out on dirty dishes and that type of stuff. I'm also the type of person that would stay overtime often if the restaurant is really busy, I don't really have much else going on in life and take pride in being able to help a restaurant function correctly
Start drinking heavily and having a coke connect will help.
>>9358296
i don't drink or do drugs

You're going to have a great time working in restaurant industry
>loaf of bread, 85 cents

Variety is the spice of life, fatty
I absolutely hate the taste of eggs.
I eat everything, there's nothing on this planet that despises me as much as the taste of egg. Got to admit, I love the smell of every way you bake it, and everytime I get a chance I try it, over and over again but I can never love an egg as a lot of other people do.
Is there a way to train this, to make me like the taste of cooked egg?
Dunno man. I've eaten eggs for as long as I can remember. They've always tasted like pure ambrosia nourishment to me.
>>9358132
I can usually only eat eggs if I have them on a sandwich paired with a meat (bacon, sausage, ham etc).
>>9358174
then why not just the egg? pretty much taste the same right?
I bought a big jug of Arizona Arnold Palmer an it's making me pee like mad. As soon as I pee I have to pee again shortly after. Is it the quality of ingredients used? I tried a higher quality lemonade Tea and I didn't pee nearly as much before.

would eat though, just wonder why the bun sucks
>untoasted bun
>go to a sub joint
>they're actually hoagies

>bitch! do i look like i need rescuing? i'm outta this faggot place!
>go to Subway
>a bunch of underground trains and hobos

I'm going to need to start packing lunches for Uni. I figured meat buns/stuffed sandwiches are a cheap and easy solution for that. Problem is, I'm terrible at baking. Last time I tried to make them they were disgusting.
Can I get some advice on how to make these work?
>>9357757
no. make chili and put in thermos.
why not just eat at cafetaria like normal people?
>>9357757
Just use pizza dough, any recipe or just use the premade stuff from the grocery store. Works just fine.
/ck/ I need to know, what's the best fast food place on the East Coast?
>>9357472

>best sweet tea
Bojangle's. No questions asked.

A lot of a business's orders may be carry out and they often have to hire someone specifically for that job. I am one of those people. I have to pack up your orders securely while there might be 10 of them on the line, refill sauces, packing materials, answer the phone. All the while paying attention to the fact that you need "light curry" in your fried rice or exactly 3 packets of mustard for minimum wage. Yes, fast food employees rarely make more than that for just as much work, but they often can't accept tips anyway.
Also, no more than a 10% tip is expected. But more is appreciated.
Tips are the difference between not being able to pay my rent every month and being somewhat comfortable while in school. 12$ an hour because 2/3 of people tip a couple dollars is a whole hell of a lot better than 7.25.
I feel this issue often falls under the category of there being two types of people: those who have worked food service, and those who haven't. If you have, you know how much it fucking blows and how much tips mean. A couple dollars is not going to make or break you, but possibly raising someone's wage to livable is definitely going to make their life a whole lot easier.
I'm not going to give you money the owner should be paying you out of his greedy ass pockets. Nothing personal against you, it's the owner. Take it up with him, organize your fellow workers and strike or attempt collective bargaining. Sorry.
oh shit, yugioh thread on /co/
>>9357178
I always tip because I work retail. My job is shit and I have to deal with assholes all the time, but at least my boss pays me more than minimum wage. I have a lot of friends in food service so I know how it is. Respect friend.
>>9357192
You have a point, but it's not like that kind of thing happens over night.

Is ice a food, or a drink? WTF IS ICE this is driving me crazy
>>9356862
Explain to me your rationale that would lead you to classify ice itself as a food?
By the way incensant classifying of things by categories literally is a sign of autism, ass burgers to be more specific.
>>9356862
eating ice has a negative energy balance
>>9356870
It's an edible solid. Sounds like food to me.
