Wrestling isn't just about moves...too many think they know-it-all smarks determine a good worker based on how many moves a performer does when all it does is expose them as absolute marks who don't have a clue. Wrestling is about knowing how to work crowd i.e dictate their reactions & take them on emotional roller-coaster via telling a story using psychology, selling (facials, body language), pacing, etc.
AJ Styles is one of few indie vanilla midgets types in WWE who does know how to work. He probably learned via working with Jarrett, Nash, Hall, Sting, Angle etc. in TNA. Kevin Owens & Seth Rollins for example just worked with other indie spot monkeys prior to coming to WWE.
