Hey /x/, I recently found out about this russian broadcast station, but I haven't found what exactly it is for or what it broadcasts.
The russian government hasn't given out any answers and although some believe it's just a military station giving orders, it has been found out by an observatory that the frequency it uses (4625 kHz) causes odd changes in the ionosphere.
Pic related its the station.
What do you guys think?
No idea but sounds interesting
This is OP,
The station has supposedly been around since 1987 I believe, it's been dubbed "The Buzzer" due to its monotonous buzzing, which it does 25 times a minute 24/7 nonstop, unless there are coded orders being broadcast.
Vidya is a sample of the buzzing:
https://youtu.be/-2EKWgTNEYU
It looks old, abandoned, and unguarded. I don't know the Russian government very well, but if it's giving out military orders, wouldn't there be like, more protection? I mean, the photo was taken that close and not a single guard is in sight?
Still interesting that it's broadcasting something but we'll probably never know.
Does /x/ find shipwrecks to be eerie/creepy?
Go on...
Was my qt crazy, sexually abused, or legit?
Sounds legit.

FUCK OFF NORMIE
I couldn't think of a better subject title. Even saying "Spirituality" feels like lying. But I suppose for convenience let's just lump it all under spirituality.
Anyway, I have studied many of the teachings from many traditions: Buddhism, Zen, Taosim, Hinduism, and native american, and others that don't go by name.
Here's where I want advice:
I acknowledge that all phenomena are transient appearances, including the self-phenomena and/or ego. Now what?
Furthermore. I accept that enlightenment is not a state of mind nor experience - nor non-experience - and it cannot be attained through seeking it; that, in fact, we are already enlightened but simply think we're not; and that the word enlightenment and the teachings surrounding it are not enlightenment itself, nor are they conducive of it, but rather serve as arbitrary pointers.
But then what is the difference between an Enlightened One, and everyday common people that are already enlightened? I expect that the answer I get will be "No fundamental difference" but that's silly and avoiding the question. What is it that separated, say, the Buddha, from his disciples that were on their way to becoming their own Buddhas? If there is no difference on any levels, then what even is "attaining enlightenment?" and how is it useful to say that everyone is already enlightened. Why even talk about enlightenment at all?
I suspect that the teaching "Everyone is already enlightened" is saying something different about enlightenment than "The buddha attained enlightenment."
I hope what It's clear what I'm confused about.
> Now what?
Meditation.
> But then what is the difference between an Enlightened One, and everyday common people that are already enlightened?
They have the potential to be enlightened (buddha nature) once they let go of their notion of self.
>>16928392
Then in what way is everyone already enlightened if they have the potential to become enlightened?
Any idea of how to make a spirit suffer? Not just banish, actually inflicting it pain.
Thanks in advance.
Its roleplay. You can do whatever you want.
The name of God makes those turned towards mischief suffer. Nothing is more powerful than radiation of faith towards the spiritual intractable.

Don't post here much, I'm at work at the moment. And there is guuy I've been working with the past year and a half who has been acting weird and leaving these posted's around with drawings of symbols and text. He has always been one of those loud mouth over the top social guys, but all of sudden he went quiet past few weeks and has been acting up. He's all around a good guy who does volunteer work in his spare time.
He's been showing up really tired to work saying he hasn't been getting much sleep because of some bad dreams. He use to come in very enthusiastically and start conversation with the first person he walks and sees, but lately he's been very anti-social and weird. We've asked him if he's okay, and he says he is but I can tell he's only saying that because he doesn't want to talk about it.
I'm not usually superstitious but I have an open mind.
Do these symbols mean anything? Or is it just a figment of his imagination? There are more postets around i'll take more photos, just have to get back to work for a second.

Voltaire was a philosopher of the Enlightenment.
> "Indeed you are in a bad way to be free like your dog! Do you not eat, sleep, propagate like him, even almost to the attitude? Do you want the sense of smell other than through your nose? Why do you want to have liberty otherwise than your dog has? B: But I have a soul which reasons much, and my dog reasons hardly at all." - Voltaire
> "A tree has the faculty of receiving in its fibres its sap which circulates, of unfolding the buds of its leaves and its fruit; will you ask what the soul of this tree is? it has received these gifts; the animal has received those of feeling, of memory, of a certain number of ideas." - Voltaire
> "This remark is rather foreign to the article SOUL; but should one miss an opportunity of dismaying those who make themselves unworthy of the name of men of letters, who prostitute the little mind and conscience they have to a vile self-interest, to a fantastic policy, who betray their friends to flatter fools, who in secret powder the hemlock which the powerful and malicious ignoramus wants to make useful citizens drink? In short, while we worship God with all our soul, let us confess always our profound ignorance of this soul, of this faculty of feeling and thinking which we possess from His infinite goodness." - Voltaire
> "The lawyer and the financier would be better off in France than elsewhere." - Voltaire
> "The water of the Nile had later the same virtue as the water of the Ganges: to these purifications other ceremonies were added: I avow that they were still more impertinent." - Voltaire
> "She answers that it was by their way of bowing." - Voltaire
> "Spinoza was not only atheist, but he taught atheism; it was not he assuredly who took part in the judicial assassination of Barneveldt; it was not he who tore the brothers De Witt in pieces, and who ate them grilled." - Voltaire

>you must recommend Bardon
Read "Initiation into Hermetics" by Franz Bardon (better accompanied by "A Bardon Companion" by Rawn Clark).
>How do I start?
Depends what you want
>Ordo Templi Orientis and A∴A∴
Read Magic in theory and practice by Aaleister Crowley
>Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and Qabalah
Read The middle pillar by Israel Regardie
>Chaos magic
Read Liber Null and Psychonaut by Peter J. Carroll
>8 circuit
Read Prometheus Rising by Robert Anton Wilson
>Rosicrucian
Read The Mystic Path by Raymund Andrea
>Other books for theory:
"Three Books of Occult Philosophy" by Agrippa.
"Theurgia or the Egyptian Mysteries" by Iamblichus.
>Does it work?
You will only know if you try it. A book only works by doing the exercises and is commonly accepted that believing is a prerequisite to give the strength to work.
>Topic for discussion
Wondering if it would be worth while to do a few threads in the vein of the knowledge lectures. Basically picking a topic, explaining the concept, do a brief history of it, and perhaps provide an exercise or two related to the topic. Does anyone think this would be a good idea? And what topics should be covered?
Where can i read the Tuatha de danann?
>>16927897
Sounds like a good idea to me.
Cover the common schools s of the occult, including Christian and Jewish etc..
>>16927897
The OP couldn't be more shit. Let me try instead.
>Bardon
Absolute shit; the practices are okay, the theory is abysmal.
>Ordo Templi Orientis and A∴A∴
>OTO:
Francis King, Peter Koenig, Liber Aleph.
>A.'.A.'.:
Holy Books of Thelema, and literally everything else (including all the other branches of the Tree).
>Golden Dawn:
Complete Golden Dawn by Regardie.
>Qabalah
Sepher Yetzirah by Aryeh Kaplan.
Agreed on Carroll and RAW.
I would switch "Other books for theory" with "basic reading". Also throw in Plato, Aristotle, Diogenes, and all the other Big Heads there.

To be fair I haven't seen anyone actually expound on Orthodox Christian mysticism. I would be very interested in seeing something like that.
Can a human become anything else or transcend? Or are we doomed to this frail meat suit?
believe or not, the jinn is able to transform his appearance to look like a human but he needs a lot of power to do it. but i don't think we can do that.
>>16927883
That's a major point in religion.
When you die, you might become a spirit creature. Think permanent astral projection.
Or you might not.
If you mean physically, then you can try lycanthropy, undeath (vampirism), or various ascetic practices. No guarantee they're real.
Then on the tech side, there's transhumanism. Brain uploading, cyberization.

So i have been just added by a Steam account called "Shepard".
He's been offline for 3332 days, and his comment section is filled with people complaining about it being spoopy.
He owns all Half Life 1s and has a 9 year badge.
Any en/g/ineers here that could explain how a offline account could add me ?
He has no alias, no description, no profile pic. His achievement stats and inventory gives me an error.
Wtf is this? Ben drowned?

The first recorded incident of a "Your Mom" joke.
I've always had a good strong connection with God, he's saved my life on multiple occasions and I've had many talks with him. That being said I think he gave me a warning in my dream last night but I can't totally make it out, hoping you all can help.
Some background on my current situation, i just moved into a new house a few days ago and I haven't gotten any weird vibes till last night. I'm dating a girl thats a self proclaimed Satanist and witch. She's been getting really sick for the last few days, throwing up constantly and being weak in general. Also shivering a lot without being cold. So in my dream i was in my bedroom with her and all of a sudden i was holding a book with what looked like a patriarchal cross, i dont remember what it said but i looked up at her and said "the shining of the frogs?" And at first she laughed, then she stoped her normal laugh and began using a high pitched-ish scream and over and over she just kept staring forward and screaming "eeeahhhh eeeahhhh eeeeahhhh" then i realized i needed to leave the room and i did and closed the door and told my dad we had to leave, from in the bedroom she screamed "the shining of the frogs" over and over and over again then that turned to "you cant leave till the shining of the frogs!" All in the same demonic voice. I woke up with that phrase resonating in my head. Does any of that have any significance? I am usually knowledgeable about this kind of stuff but its not ringing any bells other than giving me a bad feeling. Pic related, its the cross that was on the book in my dream.
there's the obvious plague of frogs, and satan vomits frogs to create his army.
light and shining tends to be a symbol of god
similar to how satan's frog army is doomed to defeat, maybe it's saying that god is purging evils from her in some way, and that you cannot leave until she is clean? i'm not a master at the whole biblical dream interpretation thing
a more vague and less direct interpretation could be that a bad situation you're stuck in will eventually become "saved" in a way?
hell, maybe the whole shining of the frogs thing was meant for someone else and you were a conduit for the message.
>>16927809
If you have a strong connection with god, ask him to expell the demons when they come. Remember that demons listen to god, and if they do something, it's under his watch. I never understand the play of "make the mess occurs" and then "i fix it" thing of god, but if he is really showing you this, it's because you will probably experience it, and be liberated after that, and you should give him thanks for liberating you for the things he himself permitted.
>>16927853
Also, remember that the patriarcal cross represents the human judgement. The frogs represent the second plague. Also, the "2" it's the testimony number. You probably have to testify about Christ to her. She will deny him. Then... i can't tell anymore.

I did not see a black one, but I did see some kind of huge triangle melting with the colors of the blue sky fly really low over our house, with small white lights at each summit, and going really dang slow.... Anyone with a similar experience?
