/x/ whats the oldest religion ever created, can you guys give me a description or a summary of the religion?
Depends what you mean by religion. If you mean written books and men in dresses then you'd be missing out tens of thousands of years. It's probably some form of animism, 'primitive' people viewing creation as a collection of gods and supernatural events. Read Joseph Campbell's Masks of God (4 volumes) for this, and how it developed into more modern religions. If that's tl,dr, just read volume 1.
one of the oldest known temples is gobekli tebe in turkey. google that name and you can have an idea what passed around as religion those days.
Has anyone ever had a number or numbers that seemed to follow them around? Did they represent specific things? What force seemed to be behind them? Were there days when it seemed clear that something strange was going on and other days where it felt more like simple confirmation bias?
The number 444 followed me for over a year, it got to the point where my friends started to notice it around me as well.
37, seems to be common around me and also my girlfriend of 2 years, does it mean anything?

So I recently learned how to see auras, shit's tight yo. Only problem is I had no idea if what I'm seeing is actually an aura or just some sort of weird optical illusion, So I did some research and found an article on the newly discovered magnetoreceptive properties of the cryptochrome proteins in our eyes, the same kind birds and some flies use to see magnetic fields over layed on their vision as color, which in turn helps them navigate. Perhaps humans do have a latent magnetic sense and the human "aura" is actually how we see the human electromagnetic field?
Article here: http://www.nature.com/ncomms/journal/v2/n6/full/ncomms1364.html
Can you check my aura op?

Not through this, it has to be face to face.
There is a theory that human beings have abilities that have been suppressed.
So it makes sense that the anatomy and histology is still present, but we just cannot or do not know how to use them. Just like how some people can wiggle their ears and curl their tongues but some cannot.
The key to unlock these abilities would be from meditation and other 'spiritual' work.
A shortcut that gives a brief glimpse of this would be psychedelics. There have been documented cases of people experiencing telepathy (they wanted to call harmaline telepathine at one point), seeing into internal structures of the body such as blood vessels and musculature through the outer layer of the skin, perceiving auras and 'the internal machinery of the universe'.
A highly documented example would be Wim Hof aka the Iceman - able to withstand extremely low temperatures with Tummo-style meditaition alone.
Dear /x/:
How about we take a step back from shamanism, tulpas, aliums, and whatnot, and, in all seriousness, talk about one of the scariest things on this planet: us?
I just finished watching Se7en, and, god damn, what a hell of a movie.
>dat ending
Do you guys know any other stories, films, books, pics -- whatever -- that are related to people being... sick, and evil?

I dreamed about that movie tonight. The box scene i think.
Actually the dream i remember best from tonight is related to this topic aswell.
I was in this world, where everyone was free, no one was compelled to do something against their will, like even if you commited a crime, they would tell you to come to jail but you would only go if you wanted to.
But no one killed anyone, everyone was fine and happy. So basically i start killing people in this movie theater, and then a cop asks me to come with him and I say "No man, I'm going this way if you wanna come fine, if not leave me be", then outside I talk to some men, that are saying that such a thing didn't happen in their world for such a long time, and that it was a horrible thing (the killings), and then I start talking about my world, where most people are lost and don't know what to do, and still they are made do things they don't want and lose their lifes like this, without even knowing who they are. I say "I showed you my world." Now let me see yours. Then I go for a walk and meet some ladies and have sexy times.
Anyone on here wish to share the dreams they've had after taking melatonin?

does ketamine count
I take californian poppy (probably natural melatonin?) when waking from deep sleep in need to smoke.
dreamt about being a raptor jumping around catching food around 9 o clock. I wonder what it even means..

You must renounce your human origins and become one with the raptors.
Hey /x/ I wanted to start a thread about this topic lol. What are some things that have happened to you involving demons? And what else do you know about them?
>>16920171
I believe I am posessed.
It's constantly trying to do sexual things to me, have been on meds for several years, switching treatments, nothing affects it. Also it wants me to join satan.
For instance, yesterday night it felt like somebody was giving me a handjob and later on it became a blowjob attempt too.
My parents jokingly say 'tis no demon but daemonette.

So lets talk about eyes. Some cultures claimed they were the windows to the soul, others claimed colours like blue were symbolic of divinity. There are some scientists who claim that all blue eyed people come from a single source, and others that believe they're descended from "ancient aliens"(kek).
Sight has also always been a topic of paranormal and occult significance, seeing the unseen, the minds eye, the power of a gaze. What is the significance with eyes? Any personal opinions and theories would be appreciated, along with some interesting info on occult/cultural beliefs.
eyes are eyes
when you shine a bright doctors light in your eye long enough you can see the true colors
green eyes can just be yellow with blue circular line segments through
although eye color changes
>>16919499
Ive always wondered if people with certain colored eyes physically percieve things differently than other people with different colored eyes. Like, people with green eyes always see whats right in front of them symmetrically and physically the same, allbecause of their eye color. This concept is fucking cool tome because that would mean the abnormalities in eye color that happen in nature would be their own unique and different perception of the earth they walk and would see things differently through their eyes in a way so many others cannot/ have not. And im not talking about metaphoric or conceptual vision, im talking like literally what we see. Kind of like how color blind people can still physically see objects, just cannot determine the color of it. Or that one wierd theory where everyone sees a different color but since the names of colors are consistant through language, noone really knows what color everyone is seeing, all we know is that (ie) the color we all see has always been called blue in our minds. Crazy shit, i knowthewhole eyecolor thing isnt true but i wish it was.
brown eyes are absolutely normal and most likely the human default. blue eyes are said to be traced back to one ancestor with a mutation. where the heck did green eyes come from? possible reptilians?
Holy shit, he deleted everything but this one video, does anyone know if this was today? I know hes been known to upload and then delete videos but I've never seen him take it all down before.

It doesn't feel like it's been a year, but here we are again. For the fourth consecutive year, I'll be uploading my collection of creepy stories, images, books, and anything else Halloween related. There's tons of new stuff to get through this year - so much so that it's going to be split into two threads!
We've got a lot of uploads, so let's get right to it. Happy Halloween, /x/!
bump for lectures, seminars, documentaries and educational material

As always, we'll start with the largest content drop of the bunch: The text folder. It contains creepypastas, unsolved mysteries, legends, and most of all, over 4,000 nope stories of a variety of categories, most of them collected over the years from right here on /x/.
Things have been done a bit differently this time around. Last year, there was a growth of around 800 stories. The problem was, although it was free of troll posts and such (I've had to F3 the phrase "Bel Air" on every document), you'd still have to sift through a lot of stories to find the gems. This year, I've put much more thought into quality control. The growth in nope stories this year is precisely 450 new stories. You should find the density of quality stories to be much higher than before. More discussion on this later.

Librarian dude! I always look forward to this dump every year, but I got a suggestion. Could you indicate which are the new ones per upload? I was thinking maybe sorting it by year of acquisition as well so that it's easier to monitor which ones we already got and which ones we don't yet have. Like I got your 2013 and 2014 dumps and looking through them I realize there's quite a lot of doubles, so yeah.
Nevertheless, thanks for doing this every year, bumpan for more spooks. Happy halloween!
It's time for a scary youtube videos thread! Only the scariest videos in here, since it's halloween!!!
Sadly, i haven't got any scary stuff to post.
Do your best and happy halloween!!

So I met this guy cashiering, and I instantly liked him. Flirted, checked him out, then after he left, an hour later he came back, went through my line again buying something he forgot, only this time we made a lot of eye contact. Like his eyes just drew me in. I don't even remember what he looked like except a few minor details and I would probably recognize him if I saw him again. I remember his eyes like, almost exact. I can't explain it, but it was like our souls connected. What happened here? I barely remember any of our conversation either time he was in, and barely what he looked like. His eyes were a bright orange amber color, pic related. I feel unnaturally bonded to him, and I don't even know his name.
he has dark brown hair, facial hair, yellow undertones in skin. He was tall. Eyes bright amber color close to pic.
he was a black belt pua
Sounds like you are whipped af.

I was diagnosed with non-differential schizophrenia when I was 17.
>NDS is essentially a nice way of saying, 'You exhibit most of the requirements for schizophrenia, and your brain has the same physical abnormalities as other schizophrenics, but you're otherwise able to function normally.'
I have not been on meds for about 8 years now, but I am also not labelled as a threat to myself or to others. I mostly get through the delusions by trying to remain as logical as possible.
Its a strange juxtaposition, where I equally entertain the crazy and outlandish thoughts that pop into my brain, but also make a conscious effort to dismiss them.
