i always got that he ascribed more meaning to the whole "we came from space" sort of conceptual afro-positivism. but i guess if being reductive helps you prevent mental energy in approaching a topic or person then more power to ya.
Can somebody PLEASE recommend a horror film?
I'm fucking dying here bros, I haven't seen anything half-interesting since The Witch (and that shit, while a good movie, was not really horror and certainly not scary).
I noticed that Krampus is finally up on torrents now... Is it any good? I think I may watch that.
Also don't recommend any of the following movies as I have already seen them:
> VHS.
> VHS2.
> The third VHS.
> It Follows.
> The Grudge.
> Any saw movies.
> Sinister.
> Insidious.
> The Conjuring.
> The Mist.
> Rec.
> Unfriended.
> Any paranormal activities.
> The Babadook.
Cannibal Holocaust
Salo: 120 Days of Sodom
Alien
The Thing
ABC's of Death
Troll Hunter
Mountains of Madness
Banshee Chapter
It's kinda about numbers stations. Audio shit really fucks with me so it was one of the only movies i've seen that actually scared me.
So I decided on Krampus, do you anon think I made a good decision?
Is there any way to predict the future?

Modern master 2015 was ok
Life and everything in it, is a test.
But to what end.
Both the paranormal and the unbelievable seek to break you.
To defer you from the path of sanity, so that one may explore into the mad.
Hostility and enjoyment, a test of gluttony, greed, depression, and hatred, etc.
Who will you become, who will you awaken to be.
From the moment we are a simple "----", the test has begun, we race for the egg once we've become a sperm.
We fight to live so that we may be born, yet once we are born the struggle only becomes harder as our human consciousness grows to only further question things.
Every choice, every mistake.
What will we let get to us, what will we ignore and pass as though it were nothing.
But to what end does this test serve?
To create a better humanity?
To create a better world?
Or perhaps it is all indeed a sham.
And you are simply trapped in nothing, with nowhere to go at the end of the journey.
But the biggest joke is, you spend all your days questioning. Wasting time on things that may simply be nothing.
Yet the human side of us still asks, it still seeks to define both itself and the non/existence of everything.
So I ask you, to what purpose do you live?
To purpose do you continue to destroy your world so that others may become born?
What drives you, personally?
Greatness? So that the masses will remember your name?
Power?
Love?
What is it /x/
Why are you truly still here?
Will alone. Don't know why beyond that. It's enough though.
Personally, I exist simply to question both the mad and reality. To pass the time until my death, when all the questions (for better or worse) will finally become answered. A life free of ambition I only seek answers to the all.
It may be a simple existence, but it is mine none the less.
>>17453794
Will alone?
There's more to your existence then that friend.
What drives you?
Why are you still alive to this day?
What do you seek?

>a test
This is the absolute worst fucking test I've ever taken. Who designed this shit? What the fuck was the point? How do you expect to measure anything in all this bullshit? Fuck this test.
I haven't heard of any bigfoot sightings in a while.

Anyone got good /x/ aprooved anime? I'm looking for more of a bizarre and macabre tone than I am action and or comedy, or drama. So no Hellsing, Haruhi, Higurashi type stuff. I've already seen them.
Also has anyone seen the animated adaptation if Franz Kafka's A Country Doctor? Does that fall under the bizarre and macabre tone I'm talking about?
I like Mushi-shi.
Paranormal investigator in ancient Japan.
Melancholic and quiet tone.

"Serial Experiments Lain"
Also, "Ghost Hound"
just got into these guys /x/philes, what are some of their best episodes?
Love these guys. The 9/11 and satanic government are pretty great. A couple of the early episodes aren't as good, but All I've listened to do far are worth checking out
>>17452607
the government of usa/uk is french normans.
normans are outcast vikings. they are not satanic at all.
they literally have to draw huge pentagrams in the streets for us to get a clue.
call 911. its aliens.
When reading a religious book (Bible, Torah or Qur'an, others I haven't read) I couldn't help but notice the immoral nature of many texts. So I have the theory, that these books are written by the devil in order to deceive the weak minded into committing atrocities against each other. But we all are born with "God given" basic morals that tell you to not hurt or kill others. God doesn't give a shit if you work on Sundays or wear mixed fibers as long as you keep using your "God given" morals.
Next time you read one of these books, question yourself: Could this be written by an evil entity to deceive us into becoming evil?
>>17451602
That's quite illogical. But then again we are talking about religion.
>Did the bible write these holy texts
If he wrote the bible and other religious texts he could have just told everyone to do bad stuff and kill eachother eventually, commit all the sins, but nah he decided not to do that. There would have been a lot of easy ways to completely destroy society but that didn't happen so he probably didn't write them.
>inb4 his plan
Nah, if he had some plan there would probably be anarchy for the rest of eternity.
That is if the devil is wholly evil which I highly doubt as he was gods biggest fan.
>>17451602
You basically just described Gnosticism. You're welcome.
>>17451621
this.
You're FAR from the first to have this epiphany. Read some stuff on gnosticism, you're in for a wild ride.
I dont know who else to ask
My girlfriendhas uncontrollable bouts of depression and anxiety caused by hallucinations. She hears a white noise like static or a tv and then a shadow figure of a man with a coat and hat appears somewhere. Anywhrre theres darkness. Its starting to happen more frequently.
She talked to her mom and, when her sunt had a kid, the same shadow figuredescribed watchdd over her kid.
I think this is schizophrenia , but i just dont know. Im taking her to a doctor soon. Until then, anything you tell me can help
>>17451528
Ask her why the experience feels the way it does. That's pretty much what the psychiatrist is gonna ask.
>>17451535
Im not sure i understand. WHY it feels that way? Because shes scared. She said she gets so scared sometimes, for no reason at all. Just uncontrollable fear. And then the hallucinations start happeneing
>>17451528
If it's schizophrenia i've heard meditation helps.
There has been a bit of research with it and it seems that it happens because the brain has problems switching between inner thoughts to what's happening in the outer world and interactions with it (the way that the brain develops with less folds in these areas has something to do with it). If she meditates and works on controlling these better it might help. Trying to meditate and then bring herself back out of her inner thoughts.
I believe it's the switching of the amygdala and hyppocampus.
Hope this helps.
Why is it so difficult to just feel good, /x/?
Being high on cannabis for instance - I know just enough about physiology to know there are certain neuroreceptors at play here, and that endogenous neurotransmitters (anandamide) will also trigger them, i.e. there are physical mechanisms at play, and they precipitate into predictable qualia (if we assume that's real).
So essentially: neurotransmitters fire, neuroreceptors catch, neuroreceptors signal some cell in some way, cell goes off and does stuff (I'm not sure typically what, other than fire off more neurotransmitters), my mind notices I feel good, and now I'm happy.
It seems like it would be possible to tap in to some part of this process if not many parts. So how can I feel the anandamide feeling on command?
If I were to take a crack in the dark at it, I would try "visualization" exercises where the "visualizations" are of me doing pleasurable things and then feeling good until the visualizations needed to become less elaborate, and I've actually had some luck with that in the past. But not as much as I'd like, and I want to hear what you guys think.
I assume that getting a grip on this is a/the goal of at least one "magical" system, so I'm hoping someone will spill some beans.
TL;DR Whatever my cells are doing to my brain to make good feelings happen in my emergent mind, why can't my emergent mind just do that on a more voluntary basis?
>>17451463
Not to be overly joking about it, its because weed is like fuel. The happy engine can't start without fuel. Once we get fuel then we can start to the ignition and take a road trip.
You are over working your what I want to call nerves. And those nerves don't get that much work from just your daily activities. That's why weed makes you happy because it over works the nerves.

>happen in my emergent mind
>why can't my emergent mind just do that
Probably because your emergent mind is the one that happens after-the-fact. Try doing it with the part of your mind that underlies these processes.
