Happened to me a couple of months ago:
>live in a suburban area
>decide to go jogging because I want to get fit again
>very late at night because of my fucked up sleeping habits
>beautiful night, starry sky and everything was quiet
>weirdly quiet, normally I'd hear birds singing etc. because it was spring
>cant even hear any cars anywhere, it was like the whole world was empty
>think nothing of it, thought it was just cool
>put on my headphones and start listening to my playlist on Spotify
>after about 20 minutes of running, it starts to get foggy
>nights are usually foggy where I live, so not a big deal
>music kept cutting and stopping constantly because of shit headphones
>I take headphones off, run in silence past some fenced neighborhood
>then I hear something coming from the nearby neighborhood
>something that sounded like a mix of an owl and a chimp
>sounded really weird and almost robotic, nothing like any animal I've ever heard
>I'm not superstitious at all, but I'm getting kinda creeped out
>start running faster, hoping to get home as soon as possible
>hear nothing but silence for a while, start wondering if I just imagined the voice
>then I hear it again
>but this time the voice was closer, and louder
>start getting really creeped out
>practically sprinting home at this point
>hear the voice a few more times, feels like something is following me
>finally manage to get home, closing the door behind me had never felt better

Nothing special really happened after that. I heard the owl-monkey thing a couple more times, but I guess whatever was in my backyard got bored pretty quickly and went away. I checked my backyard the following day, but it looked pretty much untouched.
I have never experienced anything like that ever before or since that night; what do you guys think it was? Have any of you had a similar experience?

So does anyone else have really strong associative memories? Like one situation will make you feel really intense things? They're not feelings, but they will make me feel things. They're something else, but similar to emotion. There aren't any labels for them. I've never heard anyone else talk about them. And they're always different. Like how cold, stormy nights make me feel a bunch of ways. They get really specific too. If there is a house in the rain that is painted white, it will probably feel different than if it is painted red.
It's not a huge concern, as it rarely is strong enough to affect my daily life, but I really just want to know if I'm the only one feeling this. I've tried telling a therapist before, but she didn't know what I was talking about.

Ok /x/, there is something I want to ask you.
Since I was a little kid, I've always been... friends with a spirit. I first encountered it when I went to visit some ruins in Kroton: it was standing besides the column and nobody could see it but me; when my teacher (it was a school trip) left us free to roam the area I approached it and started talking to it: since then it's been visiting me from time to time. It's not a ghost, more like an entity, and according to what it always told me it was around since before the Greeks colonized our land (I'm from Southern Italy). It won't (can't?) explain me its exact nature, purpose (assuming it has any?) or origin in detail, but it's pretty chill when it shows up and it usually... counsels me, gives me advice about pretty much everything: it's not always great or in tune with how our world goes, sometimes it tells me to do some nonsensical bullshit or some downright crazy stuff... or at least so it seems atm, sometimes I get spooked by how events unfold so that actually having followed what it says would have been the best course of action. Aside from "personal" advice, there is one area this entity (I gave it a nickname but it's kinda stupid) excels in: science. I know it sounds weird considering it's a supernatural being and stuff, but it has a knowledge of maths and physics that is simply baffling, I think that the reason is that it's from another plane or some shit so the fabric of our universe (which is pretty much maths, think of the fibonacci sequence) is easy for it to comprehend. Idk, that's the explanation I've come up with, you tell me what you think.
My problem is: should I try to exploit the fact I have such a powerful being helping me out or should I just "enjoy the ride" and try not to think about it in materialistic terms? It never gave any demonstration of force or violence but I always assumed it could fuck shit up if it wanted to.
