Not bait.
Whats the problem?
Hi /x/. Since this is probably one of the more "mature" boards, I've got a question
Why have my dreams suddenly become so vivid?
For about a week now every time I go to sleep I have crazy realistic dreams. And last night they came to a head.
I had a dream I had a wife and child, a girl. We lived in a modest house, and everything was perfect. I remember feeling so happy and comfortable. I had never felt like this in my waking life. My dream life was absolutely perfect, everything was perfect, from my non-existent family, to my house, and even the world seemed "brighter."
I'm putting a big emphasis on how I felt in my dream because it was so foreign/unique to me. It was the absolute absence of stress and anxiety and the worries of our waking life. My dream came to an end when I looked over to my dream family and just absolutely broke down crying in my dream, I'm not sure why, but I feel as though some part of my brain knew this wasn't real, and the waking world was coming fast. That was when I woke up with tears in my eyes and a welp my throat. I can still remember how happy I was in that dream, and I can only hope this is what lies ahead of me in my future.
I know some of you who are reading this are probably thinking I'm an idiot, but I can tell you with 100 percent certainty this was the most vivid dream I have ever felt.
Any ideas /x/?
Is my unconscious mind looking for an escape from reality, or could it have been something more than a dream?
Can somebody help me?
You're probably depressed or something and your mind is trying a new coping method.

Perhaps it's because like you said, they are so unique/foreign to you. Maybe it will come true, maybe it won't, i dunno if there's a dream interpretation thread up at the moment if that's what you're after.
I have had a vivid dream recently too. I don't put much onus on them since I've had so many that there's bound to be one somewhere that at least part of came true.
And of course one only remembers the dreams that were seemingly prophetic, the thousands of other nightly dreams that one has are disregarded - forgotten by the time you have woken up properly.

>Some useful tips before posting:
-New readers should post that they're offering readings and what information they require from a querent.
-Look for their posts in the thread to determine what's needed and before posting, check if they finished reading already.
-Some readers will refuse to do certain readings - respect that choice. Also, bullshit queries will get bullshit answers.
-An "air query" can be made to no one in particular, but no one in particular may answer!
-Avoid making the same question over and over and/or to different readers, this may lead to more confusion than clarification
-Please refer to the Dream General threads for dream interpretation

Every Sunday Catholics around the world practice ritual simulated cannibalism, this is no different.
I saw the thread on remote viewing, and remembering a book by Morehouse, it got me thinking about something I often wonder while browsing /x/.
Is it possible to have a balanced life while still dedicating yourself to magick-esque pursuits?
I work 6:20 a day, plus 90 minutes of traffic, 90 minutes of exercise, attempted 180 minutes of drawing (which ends up being more like 90-100 minutes), plus internet time and general things.
With the usual ritual going for 60 minutes at the bare minimum (most go way longer than that - the remote viewing example could easily take over a chunk of your day just so you could make real advances) how do you guys balance it all so
a) you don't go nuts/shut-in/unhealthy, or
b) actually advance at a reasonable, uplifting pace?
I have had results from magick before, but from my experience it works best as just another facet of your life, not a crutch (for example, if you do NAP or LoA for making money, you would want it as a supplement to normally looking for a job, while being presentable, etc...), which can be, at times, disappointing and the reason we often give up and go back to our regular, boring lives.
How do you balance it all?
op the secret is called 'being a Christian'!
...for real

There is something paranormal about how we are not taught to live
we are losing our health for materialism.
And we are hurting earths health because of it.

Are there any historical accounts where large amounts of people witnessed witchcraft, necromancy, wizardry, etc, in action?
(besides what ever happened in salem)
At 11 a.m. on May 25, 1953, an estimated 150,000 people converged on a well at Rincorn, Puerto Rico, to await the appearance of the Virgin Mary as predicted by seven local children. Over the next six hours, a team of sociologists led by Melvin Tumin and Arnold Feldman (1955) mingled in the crowd conducting interviews. During this period, some people reported seeing colored rings encircling the Sun, and a silhouette of the Virgin in the clouds, while others experienced healings, and a general sense of well-being. Others neither saw nor experienced anything extraordinary. A media frenzy preceded the event, and a local mayor enthusiastically organized the visionaries to lead throngs of pilgrims in mass prayers and processions. Tumin and Feldman found that the majority of pilgrims believed in the authenticity of the children's claim, and were seeking cures for conditions that physicians had deemed incurable. Various ambiguous objects in the immediate surroundings (clouds, trees, etc.) mirrored the hopeful and expectant religious state of mind of many participants.

Have you read the bible?
We are maybe the only life in the observable universe.
Isn't this the biggest clue that we live in a simulated universe?
Simulating billions of distinct organisms would take too much processing power. Just imagine how many different insect species exist... 1 million? And that's just one planet. And there are trillions of stars. It takes far more processing power to simulate a complex organism than just a big rock floating in space.
This theory would explain almost anything. Occultism, other dimensions, numerology, prophecies etc...
>>18117099
>processing power
It's not a fucking simulation it's a dream and we (humanity) are the main characters.

Let's throw science out the window for a moment.
What do you want heaven to be? What do you think it could be?
Strumming a harp on a cloud doesn't appeal to me. I'd love like a sci-fi scenario, maybe doing experiments in consciousness and souls. I'd like to live in some facility (like in The Thing).
Remember, science not necessary.

Committed and experienced meditation.
having a friend strangle you to near death then reviving you.
or you can always die outright.
Meditation, holotropic breath work, and various shamanic methods can purportedly also get you there. They tend to take more time/work/dedication and be more unreliable than drugs though.
>>18116939
Meditation. If you have a hard time stilling your thoughts, use binaural audio tracks. It takes long meditation sessions over several weeks, if not months, for it to work.
Kinda why drugs are popular for that.
There are many threads asking about what happens after death. I am here to tell you the awful, horrifying truth. When you die unsaved you go to Sheol...better known as Hades. It is a place of torment. It is a holding cell so to speak until Final Judgement. This whole world is desigfned to distract you and keep you from truth. The moment you die you are forever gone from the land of the living. Everything that is so important to you now will be gone forgotten and meaningless in Hades. This is where the wicked, the mighty men and those who lived only for pleasure will be. David Bowie, Ronald Reagan, and a million Kings and Rulers of this Earth over the thousands of years...please research and save yourself from Hades.
Why didn't you post in another thread then?
I felt the topic deserved it's own thread. If even one person benefits then it was worth it.

Scientists Discover Starchy Sixth Taste
The human tongue has traditionally been attributed with the ability to detect five distinct tastes - sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami in the food that we eat, but now scientists at Oregon State University believe that they have uncovered a sixth taste that could also help to explain our love for pasta and potatoes. To find it, Dr Juyun Lim and her team dissolved various amounts of carbohydrates in liquid solutions and then asked volunteers to drink them and rate how they tasted. The study found that the participants consistently described the taste of the drinks as "starchy."
"Every culture has a major source of complex carbohydrate," said Dr Lim. "The idea that we can’t taste what we’re eating doesn’t make sense." While it isn't clear exactly which part of the tongue is responsible for this new taste, Dr Lim believes that it makes sense from an evolutionary perspective as carbs are a good source of energy. "I believe that’s why people prefer complex carbs," she said. "Sugar tastes great in the short term, but if you’re offered chocolate and bread, you might eat a small amount of the chocolate, but you’d choose the bread in larger amounts, or as a daily staple."

Jurassic "Sea Monster" Emerges From Scottish Loch
More than 50 years after its discovery on Scotland’s Isle of Skye, scientists have unveiled a monster that would make Nessie blush: a 13-foot-long reptile that ruled the seas 170 million years ago. The fossil, dubbed the Storr Lochs Monster, is a nearly intact skeleton of an ichthyosaur, a family of extinct marine reptiles that lived alongside the dinosaurs. The creatures were the dolphins of their time: fast swimmers with long, narrow snouts and cone-shaped teeth perfect for eating squid and fish. Discovered by an amateur fossil collector, the Storr Lochs specimen is the most complete marine reptile ever recovered in Scotland from the age of dinosaurs. Yet for decades, the skeleton remained in storage because it was entombed in extremely hard rock.
Now, a partnership between the University of Edinburgh, National Museums Scotland, and energy company SSE has allowed paleontologists to expertly free the skeleton from its stony casing. On September 5, the freshly exposed remains made their triumphant public debut. “Although some people think that sea monsters live here today in our lakes, there were actually real ones that lived here over a hundred million years ago,” says Stephen Brusatte of the University of Edinburgh, one of the lead researchers analyzing the fossil.

A Doctor's Take on Pot
During my medical training, I've learned which substances to worry about, and which ones matter less. Alcohol is usually the first substance I ask about. Cocaine can cause heart attacks and kidney failure. Methamphetamine can trigger an assortment of responses, from hyperthermia to violent agitation to cardiogenic shock. Opioids like morphine can plunge patients into respiratory failure and kill them. Intravenous drug use puts patients at risk for hepatitis, endocarditis, or even brain abscesses.
But for most health care providers, marijuana is an afterthought. We rarely worry about marijuana. So why is it still a Schedule I drug?
