i recently found out the reason why so many new pokemon are hated
you have to experience them ingame to really enjoy them
before i played gen5 i seriously considered dropping the series because of the many shitmons, not its my favourite gen for the pokemon
same with gen6. And gen7 will be the same yet again
The older designs are burned into your brain, you had adventures with those mons, you fought with them side by side - thats what makes them memorable to you
just look at all the s h i t designs from gens 2 and 3. So much shit there (in MY opinion)

So let's take a moment to humor the idea of a Pokémon reboot. Obviously the alolan forms of some Pokémon bring up some ideas and questions. Some Pokémon obviously belonged to other regions before being introduced to other regions for whatever reason. And those species adapted to those areas by changing its typing.
So what are the odds that GameFreak does reset the Pokémon universe by making the next game MANY years later. So all of the Pokémon we know now could look different because of evolution and adaptation? It would allow gamefreak to update some art as well as remove others that should have never been made.
Thoughts?

Be happy, as it would show that maybe the devs aren't fucking pussies and are open to removing certain Pokemon. Now all we need is for them to remove Mega Evolutions and Alola Forms from Gen 8 - the concepts are great and I will genuinely be sad to see some of them go, but these should really be generation-exclusive gimmicks, as they've proven that they will abandon these concepts after the generation they're in is over with the lack of new Mega Evolutions.

What I dont understand is how difficulty modes are so elusive for gamefreak. Nearly every other monster collecting game now has difficulty options.
And it's not like pokemon is marketed to just kids. The amount of gen 1 pandering is probably the most it's ever been due to the alola forms. So appealing to people who played the games 20 years ago with a still simple kids game isn't the brightest idea.
They wouldn't even have to tweak the A.I. They could just give important trainers more pokemon with varied types and more useful moves (even if it doesn't make sense for certain pokemon to know them at that point). And that would go a long way towards making the main story more engaging for some players.
