You're right, the anime would be much better if it portrayed battles as turn-based with Pokemon sitting still to take every attack aimed at them.

Being the cutest of Kanto starters isn't exactly a big achievement.
Personally, I think Blastoise is much cooler, having the shell for defense, and the cannons as offense.
And I think Zard is the best of the three still, so I disagree there too.

When this pokémon is attacked by a damaging move, said move's damage is reduced by 15%, but everytime the attacker uses a damaging move, the damage reduction increases by 5%. Eventually capping at 95%. Non attacking for some turn doesn't reset the counter, while switching-out does, partially though. Everytime the attacking pokémon is switched, he halves the damage reduction percentage (ie 70% DR for A --> Switched --> 15% DR for B and 35% DR for A if took back in the fight).
Also everytime an opposing adjacent pokémon uses a heal move, this pokémon also recover the 30% of that pokémon's recovered hp.
Dark-types ignores all those effects.
If this pokémon heals itself or is being healed (but from dark-types), it rises its SpA by 1.
