Thinking back to your childhood, what was your personal first major, heartrending gaming disappointment?
Fuck I don't remember, we were poorfags so I forced myself to enjoy whatever games we had.
I seem to recall Excalibur 2555 AD on the PS1 being the first game I dropped after 15 minutes as it was so blisteringly awful, and I was a bit hype when someone brought it home as Excalibur makes me think of some sick swordfighting and shit.
Spyro: enter the dragonfly
Put it down after half an hour
RUINED
Spore
half life 2
not because it was bad
because it was just average and underwhelming

Sonic Riders.
I kept telling myself that the game would get better if I get good.
But the controls were just way too much of an absolute garbage.

Crash Nitro Cart. After such an amazing game Crash team racing was I was so disappointed.

Aside from being on the same system, they really had nothing in common. Whose bright idea was this?

>Expect Spyro in a Crash game a vice versa
>Get fucking mini games and an average 2D platformer
Fuck both of these games
> thinking back to your childhood
no, please... no....
My first play through of kingdom hearts 2.
>Oc out the ass
>Complicated and poorly written story
>Disney magic was treated like an afterthought
>Summons fucking sucked
>That slow tutorial
>Floating combat felt weird as fuck
>Sora's voice
After my second play through, shit was awesome as long as you overlook everything on my list. Combat is the best kh has ever seen.
Also, pic related was disappointing, even though I wasn't a kid when it happened.
I don't think I ever had a major disappointment.
I only wished Nintendo first party (GB/N64) and it was difficult for that to go wrong.
I was perfectly aware it was an 'edutainment' game
There were a lot of those types of games that I enjoyed on PC
This failed at being a fun educational game and a fun Mario game

The game is even more buggy then I remembered.
