Can we have a comfy Mega Man/Inti Creates/retro 2D action platforming thread?

Guess not today. Oh well.
>>379092254
I miss when games didn't feel the need to explain how to play them. Especially 2D action platformers.

I've just started replaying this as dual wield rogue, I'm having tons of fun already.
Being a total asshole is great.
>>377798693
Why is your top lel so homely
>>377798693
And I'm finally about to ditch this whiny little girl and replace her with Sten.
Why is nobody talking about this?
>pay 2 play shitty old games
Wow, amazing! What a game changer.
Because Xbox is casual garbage
I'd rather buy the few games I care about than pay for a subscription, I prefer replaying my favorite games over playing new games that don't interest me that much so it'd be way cheaper on the long run
How likely is it that this game will be announced for PC at E3?
I want to play it, and it's dropped to $40 for PS4 on Amazon, but I don't want to buy it and see it's coming to PC a week later.
If it is announced at E3, when will it launch and what will the price tag be?
Confirmed launch in mid 2018
>>379092132
>I want to play it
No, you don't.
>>379092275
Source? Will it launch at $60?
Personally I love dropping 22cm shits on a campers game
>>379092023
Autism.
Its the same reason people bitch at battleships shelling enemy teams instead of suiciding against torp spammers.
>>379092023
Playing arty is boring as fuck, only autists write on the internet bullshit made up stories about le upsetting enemies. Yeah right, maybe if you roll lucky one in a hundred games.

>"RRREEEEEE MOMMY I NEED INSTANT GRATIFICATION!!!!!!! I HAVE TO WAIT TO GET WHAT I WANT THATS NOT FAIR"
This is prince Noctis.
Say something nice about him.

But he brought down the mighty Adamantoise!

DEATH STRANDING PRE E3 SPOILERS
Get ready for the trailer as the closer to Sony's damp squib of a conference.
>Set on an alternate earth where man made ecological disasters are coinciding with the rapture.
>Play as 3 characters at multiple locations around the world.
>The Reedus trailer is an in game location, a volcanic caldera near the south pole. Another location is Iceland and also a portion takes place in Normandy France.
>The dead soldiers from all wars are being brought back and puppeted as soldiers for the Final War.
>The four horseman and The Lightbringer serve as the overarching big bads with the horseman as Lucifers four devas.
>Mads is a modern soldier that sold his soul to join the forces of hell as one of its puppeteers.
>Hell is not fire and brimstone but more organic and lovecraftian with Junji Ito brought on board again after his work on PT to help design monsters with Del Toro based on his work in the manga GYO.
>Players can leave messages like Dark Souls and their bodies can be raised as an umbilical puppet like in Nier Automata to fight with you for a brief time.
>Cities will flood in real time as the story escalates.
>Like MGSV there are large open maps but they are separated.
>World is a more bleak story with less action. Inspired by The Last of Us, Alan Wake, MGSV's original intentions and a lot of icelandic/scandanavian cinema.
>LUDENS is in the game and yes it is reedus.
>The horsemen and lucifer are only here in spirit, their bodies are techno organic neo humans as part of a 'hubris of man'/man creating his own downfall with technology he could not control plot. Essentially big business and greed literally built this doorway into our world for them based on the umbilical tech they 'found' aka they were given by the devil without them knowing.
>Del Toros badge is going to mean things for Kojima Productions Beyond Death Stranding.
>On track for October 2018 release.
>There are no giant robots.
>>379093543
>Play as 3 characters at multiple locations around the world.
So it isn't open world or is it 3 different open worlds or something?
>>379094453
Can't reply to a lot as things are busy in the venue for set up but you know how you beat afganistan in MGSV and it goes to Africa? imagine if you stopped playing Venom Snake and played Skull Face instead from that point for a while.
>>379094453
Kojima was really impressed by GTA5 so it must be something like that.
What makes Link such a unique protagonist?
>>379091395
He smashes more pussy than any other character out there.
>>379091395
He is cute, cute, CUTE!

I know quite a few people have a problem with Breath of the Wild when compared to other Zelda games, but what do you think of BotW when viewed completely on its own, with no other Zelda games as a reference point? How does it hold up as a game in general?
good
About the same, for me at least.
Great controls and combat, great overworld with lots to explore, probably the most liberating sandbox I've played. Shrines are almost all great (other fans complained about the lack of traditional dungeons, I didn't really miss them).
Voice acting, story, and final boss are all still shite, with or without the other games.
>>379091378
How would you describe his personality?
Cheeky
>>379090751
Also hopeless and angry by the end of the game

>Oblivion
>You have to go out of your way to join factions
>Criminal/illegal organizations are secretive and will seek you out if you fit their criteria
>Every city has access to the same infrastructure with plenty of specialized stores
>Skyrim
>Factions jump at your throat and beg you to join
>Criminal/Illegal organizations have no screening and will demand you join even if you've never committed a crime
>Cities are barebones, lack cohesive infrastructure and only have stores related to your skills
How did Bethesda manage to forget how to make their own games ?
I still played thousands of hours of both of those games but Skyrim's world feels like a disembodied, railroaded mess.
They probably just took a risk to see if they can get away with less work and worse quality control, and now with FO4 they saw they took it too far.
Also the target demographic and what the general public expect or want from video games has changed from the days of Oblivion.
>>379092159
>Spend 3 days modding Oblivion because my mods kept crashing my game
>It finally works
>Been playing nonstop for a week now
The ultimate comfy game.
>>379093386
The lilac compass letters stand out a bit too agressively.
ITT: Companions that were too good for the shit game they were in
>>379090536
Picture not related then
What did you think about Wolfenstein: The New Order
Decent but not as great as everybody says it is
Still interested in the sequel though
>>379090458
It was way too hyped up for me so my experience led into just giving it an "ok".
>>379090458
it's ok
the soundtrack is great
Steam Users' Forums will go down permanently tomorrow.
