I don't care if the ACTUAL development cycle is close to a decade, so long as I don't have to endure a solid fucking decade of tiring speculation and hype and ultimately dashed expectations.

Japan is really fucking bad at this. Kojima's bad at it, Squeenix is REALLY fucking bad at it, and I'm just tired.
I don't care how long the game takes to make.
Officially announcing a game, with a fucking fully rendered trailer and complete press kit more than a year before you even have a fucking release date set is flat out inexcusable.
