REMINDS ME OF MY IN-LAWS

I don't think I've seen that dragon in skyrim before
Just finished Hollow Knight and I need more games that scratch that lore itch. What are some games with detailed world building or characters and events that are hinted at and need to be pieced together?
>>385079630
I wonder if there is a game out there, probably in a fantasy setting, that has deep, rich lore that is just "there" that you have to really study and understand to make anything of. Sort of like real life, and we do with ancient civilizations.
We see a couple hieroglyphics with similar images, see where those were found, and create theories of thousands of years ago, of their gods, customs, social structure. We just infer and guess.
I'm not talking like Elder Scrolls were there are just volumes of uninteresting books or data points you can download and read fucking novels.
It'd just be neat to see a lore system in a game where you have to guess and infer. Maybe never even explained. Just a cool thing.

where is this? I've never seen this area.

Literally Dark Souls?
ITT: Overrated/Underrated gayms (preferably shooters)
game is way too easy and they made it open world. people keep saying the controls are better but it still feels floaty as fuck
This game was beautiful
Post some nice screenshots.

I like fighting games in theory, but trying Skullgirls recently reminded me why I only play low skill floor fighters like Smash Bros and Pocket Rumble. Know of any good fighting games that scrubs like me can play?
>>385079549
Skullgirls doesn't have a high barrier as afighting game. I guess you can try Rising Thunder or SFV if you have low skill level
>>385079785
Where can I get me some Rising Thunder?
>>385080724
Rising thunder is not being developed anymore, so pocket rumble, sf5 and fantasy strike are the only options right now.
The new marvel and dbz game also look beginner friendly.
Skullgirls was also a terrible way to start into the genre.
>openworld
>no flying mounts
where the fuck are my loftwings

back in a far worse game.
That kind of sounds like fast travel (bad video game design). Why can't you just appreciate the world instead?
>go to game store

such is the life of being poor, i used to want warcraft III so badly way back mainly because of the cover art on the game looked amazing, so I would walk in circles around the pc games just looking at the game. Parents couldn't afford to waste money on a game, let alone a pc.
Is this game good? I found it for 15 bucks at a storein the borderand I figured might as well. What am I in for? I pretty much got it for the meme girl.
I've heard nothing but terrible things about it
>>385079704
Mind elaborating anon?

I'm interested on why this game os bad or what.
Anyone else still having fps issues with BotW? I've been playing it on the Switch since I got it Friday (mostly docked), and I have it up to date with the patch, but I still get one or two very noticeable fps drops every time I play.
>>385079403
I've had minor drops here and there but nothing as severe as a drop to 20 fps like you.
How'd you film that, you have your own equipment? Very impressive.
>>385079527
Ofcourse not, hes just a sad sonybro absolutely seething at the switchs success
>>385079403
I only get them when fighting moblins or when I intentionally try to create them
That being said I didn't really notice any until 50 hours in, it really just depends on what you do
Is this the hardest From Software boss?
>>385079384
Not even close to the hardest boss in that DLC alone.
>>385079447
but he was the only one I had trouble with
>>385079447
cmon, Living Failures wasnt that hard
What are some modern RPGs that are much more focused on mythology, world building, and social decision making than the usual (combat and crafting)?
Pic not super related but it's still a glimpse of better times. RPGs are always way too focused in the combat these days. People forget the genre's roots.

Will you start your life as a hunter, join the wycademy or take a job that would help future hunters?

Honestly, I think all the new FEMC songs are better. It really suprised me.
Cringy steam friends/encounters thread?
>otherwise extremely high depth combat system is trivialized by the dodge roll with i-frames mapped to a single button with little to no cooldown that is universally effective against all attacks
name one game
>inb4 dark souls has an extremely high depth combat system
>>385079271
The majority of Platinum's output, although "extremely high depth" really only applies to Wonderful 101.
