I found the boss fights on the whole better than other Sonic games, but bosses have always been a sour spot for the series so it's not saying much

It's still my favorite 2D Sonic though. The soundtrack alone is almost enough to raise it that high/ Press Garden is also the best Zone in the series

Yeah, I enjoyed the demo so I bought it. I was pleasantly surprised it had 8 sectors and I had to replay the stages quite a bit to beat it with no deaths. The treasure and enemy logs were also really fun to read. Overall decent spin-off, would love to see some of its enemies in Pikmin 4.

wut. since when is this a thing? That makes me think though, it's sad that the end of shrine of amana gives you such a forgettable boss. Sure he can do the rare triple hit combo wombo that can delete most of your health by the second hit but it is just a really bland bloss. Also Shrine of Amana should have been a much larger level (but with layers. instead just one somewhat long flat level).
