Maybe. Depends on what you mean. If you mean more shallow, boring le walking sim open world maymay games, then no. Of you mean like some sort of comprehensive 3D modern Oregon Trail with live gameplay instead of text based, then that could be pretty neat.

VR can make mountain climbing very scary already. The more VR develops, the more impressive it can make any exploration.

The negotiation phase was one of my favorite parts of SWAT 2. It would be interesting to see a game try to build itself around something like that.
