Not sure what one you are specifically referring to but doom 1993 is completely inferior to every other Build Engine game and is solely played because of nostalgia. Doom 2016 is too mixed to even be in the same tier as the first game. All the good parts are in the arena's and the game is a fucking bore when you aren't in them. OST is god tier though.

CE? CE is good but again like Doom 2016 it's very mixed in it's quality. I fucking love CE but it peaks at the middle of the game and then kind of slumps down in quality.

The issue isn't he wasn't good, the issue is he was beyond terrible. You don't have to be a Quake professional to give a review of an arena shooter or even have 100+ hours in a similar game, but you should at least be familiar with how to aim in an FPS.
