Just finnished it (100%)
Gameplay is fun as fuck. Powers are pretty cool and neither OP nor so weak you constantly have to hide. Characters were meh, nothing interesting, story a bit better but also not that great. Played it with bad karma, was pretty fun. Not very original because the other infamous games, saints row 4 and protoype did pretty much the same, but it felt fresh anyways. I rate it 7/10 would play again some day.

Played Super Turbo there for about a month. Small community but there almost always some one on that was around my skill level, and most people were nice and willing to help out those who were not as good. I was actually surprised how smooth online was when I first tried it.

Friendly reminder that if you use continues in a game then that game is playing you (when -you- should be playing that game).
1-Credit-Clears/no continues means that you actually gain full proficiency with the controls before proceeding and realise the kind of play-style developers wanted to capture when they made the game. Otherwise you're just playing for the next cutscene or collectable - the game is playing you.
You start playing and the game gets harder and harder, and soon enough you hit a wall. And the whole point of it is getting strong enough to break through that wall, and reach the next wall, and become even stronger to break through that wall, etc. etc. If every time you come to a wall you take out a little folding ladder and just use that to climb over, what's the point of the exercise?

Not really.
Shadow warrior 2 comes much closer but it has some rpg bullshit in the way. Don't bother with upgrades besides crit chance/damage and weapon modifiers, don't bother with orbs of masamune, and don't bother with endgame and you'll be good.
Also chainsaws work like actual chainsaws.
Painkiller is similar enough too I guess.

Not even close.
Wolfenstein involves mostly cover shooting, and the way the game is designed if you play it like doom you're going to get fucked.
Still pretty fun and challenging on the higher difficulties like doom, but completely different for how you tackle killing shit
