Got fucked over by the government and tried to make ends meet. Later points out Stark was a fucking arms dealer and wouldn't even have the resources to fund Iron Man or the Avengers without the billions he made off those sales. He even gives Peter a chance to to walk away, live and let live because he's honorable enough to respect that Peter saved his daughter. He doesn't go Green Goblin on him and try to fuck him up even after realizing he's Spider-man until he's left with no other option. Instead Peter completely fucks over him and his family. And even after all that, he doesn't reveal Peter's identity.
So Vulture was the Blue Collar Man trying to survive in the world of tech billionaires and Norwegian Gods?

Why does found footage get such a bad rap? I feel like a lot of people just hear the genre found footage and automatically write a film off without even watching it. Which is stupid, since some of the best horrors in the past few years were found footage. You get your typical "how many more of these do we need" argument, but you could say the same for your average ghost flick or whatever stupid demon shit they push out year round.
If you don't like found footage horrors than you just don't like horror movies. Now, tell me exactly why you hate found footage or why you appreciate them like i do.
Well, what's a good found footage movie?
>>84732997
There original Blair Witch in 2000, before no one know what a found footage movie was and they actually had promotions for the movie disguised as documentaries airing on channels like scifi and nbc. People were willing to believe a lot more back then.
it's mostly used in low budget films
conveniently seems to allow for the absence of good cinematography
if you look at the release dates for them, there's a big carryover between film and digital
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Found_footage_(film_technique)#Films
I get plot wise it makes sense that cameras became a lot more common in the later 00s, but it's also when cheap digital cameras that could produce cinema quality too
when it's a bit bigger a film I don't mind it, Cloverfield and Chronicle were ok
seems to be a big split in comedy being fake documentary and horror being found footage
Why was this such a great year for movies?

From the quality of that poster I know the actual film can't deliver

I'm a screenwriter and I've been thinking about posting my screenplay online on Facebook for personal exposure. Is that such a good idea?
No, why let a bunch of other neets steal your ideas?
No. What?
If you're actually any good, Facebook is not the outlet for exposure. If you really think you're good, start applying to contests and sending queries to companies that make films similar to yours.
If you aren't actually good, try posting it on sites dedicated to screenwriting to get some feedback, and keep rewriting until you actually get good.

Why wasn't he successful in the end? He was clearly really talented, they made a point of showing how good he was. I feel like it was a bit unrealistic.
he was before his time
folk wasn't really popular before Dylan
>>84732634
Lots of people are talented.
Not many people get attention/fame.
It's the sad truth of the world. Your talents mean nothing and nobody gives a shit.
There are tons of very talented people that aren't successful. There might even be talented people on /tv/
Why did Mike Myers fuck up his face with plastic surgery?

He took the Bogpill

Wait, That's mike myers?
Well /tv/, is it? I've been meaning to read the books, but I'm also intrigued by the movie. Did the critics lie?
>>84732549
It can't be kino because it's based on one of the dullest franchises in the history of book franchises. Each volume following the Muad'Dib and his orbiters from the Fremen as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the series’ only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of written prose, all to make Spice unspiced, to make action seem inert.
Perhaps the die was cast when Herbert vetoed the idea of Lucas directing the adaptation; he made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody - just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for his books. The Dune series might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-Lord of the Rings series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.
>a-at least the books were good though r-right
"No!"
The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "rode a sandworm."
I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Herbert's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that he has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Dune by J.K. Rowling. She wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Dune at 31 or 32, then when they get older they will go on to read J.K. Rowling." And she was quite right. She was not being ironic. When you read "Dune" you are, in fact, trained to read J.K. Rowling.

Unless he allows her the gift.
Was deckard a replicant?
The film is more interesting if he's not and makes less sense if he is.
Ridley Scott: Yes.
Harrison Ford: No.
Philip K. Dick: No.
The answer is no.

Ridley Scott: What day is it? Where am I? Am I making a film today?
Why are you guys so triggered by some white characters being played by black actors, yet the same thing happens all the time to asian and latino characters being played by white actors and you don't care?

I am more triggered by Bane being played byba manlet. He is white in the comics

The butthurt about Khan and Bane lasted for months. The Must-Not-Anger-China-with-Tibet casting was ridiculed.
