How is Zion another "level of control"?
I don't understand why the machines keep up with the humans and don't just annihilate them at once. The sentinels they sent aren't even remotely their best offensive capabilities and the city was still utterly fucked.
>trying to make sense of the matrix logic

You can't get more energy out a human than you put in anyway. We're terrible batteries.

you can't get more energy than you put in out of anything at all anon
>>84818015
No matter how perfect they make the matrix someone would always reject it. Those people make Zion as a "last bastion of the human race". In reality zion is a dump for all the humans that reject the matrix. The machines just destroy it every now and then so they don't ever gain a real foothold.

Which are the best? Should they be watched in order or are they generally independent? are the old ones worth watching? Are any of them not really worth watching? Opinions?

Thas it and thas all. The Nolan flicks are not good enough to have cinematic value, nor do they honor the character or mythos. Just wait for the definitive Reeves films.

gotcha
Opening of Ep. IV: "Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire..."
>Lost inconclusive number of fighters, including good pilots
>Lost inconclusive number of troopers and transport ships, including unit of experienced infiltrators
>Lost several capital ships, including flagship and fleet admiral
>Victory
On the other hand, Imperial forces destroyed their own most important archive for no reason (testing a weapon? It was already tested), which is a whole new level of retardation...
And how did they made second Death Star if the Archive with plans were destroyed? Did they steal them back from the rebels?
End of Rogue One
>Vader goes on fucking light saber rampage
30 seconds later (aka beginning of A New Hope)
>Vader calm, collected, and merely throwing people around and talking a big game
Normies will defend this.

We all agree that black washing is a serious problem in today's media.
I have to admit I barely noticed Black Poe past the first 20 minutes. The actor still made the character work despite being a chocolate-face.
it really boils down to Sony and their apperantly agenda in these things. From F4 to the Dark Tower over Ghostbusters. All Black/Woman washed.

oh yeah was this series actually any good. Is it still on netflix? I havent bothered to watch it
Wasn't he black in the jim carrey movie? Go back to the containment board.
Can we get a movie theater experience thread going /tv/? Good, bad, cringey, anything
Post em
inb4 anvils and falconry
>going to the cinema for the first time in like 15 years
>with my first GF
>lean my head against her shoulder
>hold her hands and constantly caress them during the film
>switch it up
>give her a kiss on the cheek every 10 minutes
I want to go back.
>After years of working up the courage I finally go to the theater alone.
>Luckily there isnt a 'No Singles Policy' - phew first obstacle overcome.
>I nervously get past the assault course of Hell that is buying a single ticket and a single drink and snacks while enduring the smirking girl who serves me.
>I sit there waiting for the movie to start, pretending to talk on my phone to my non existent friend, saying things like "yeah I'm already here! how long will you be?"
>A couple come in and sit next to me, its an Alpha Jock Male and his smoking hot girlfriend.
>She sits next to me and smiles, she's in a tight dress and her legs and tits are pretty much in full view.
>I instantly blush, get extremely hot and avert my gaze.
>She seems excited by this and keeps looking over at me while her Jock boyfriend bores her to death talking about Football.
>Me and the hottie are sharing an arm rest, our hands are an inch apart.
>the movie has started at this point, I've barely noticed as my full attention is on this chicks legs, she must be 6 foot tall and her legs have given me an instant boner.
>She touches my hand by accident, says "oops" and gives me a dazzling smile. I'm sweating horribly and pretend it didnt happen
>A few minutes go by, she then strokes my hand and looks at me with "please fuck me" eyes.
>I panic, I feel really ill then suddenly get really dizzy and blackout.
>I wake up outside the theater in an Ambulance with medics and my mom looking at me.

Why did nobody here tell me about this movie?
Its absolutely amazing.
Why didnt the mainstream media talk about this? Because of its trad message showing """""""colonialist"""""" white people as the good guys?
It was pretty good, but it wasn't mind blowingly great or anything.

This movie still sticks in my mind. That says something. I'm still conflicted about the message but it really is one of his best films.

True OP.
I want a good horror movie that is kinda like these 3 films:
In The Mouth of Madness
The Void
A Dark Song
Lovecraft, occult, monsters stuff. English language movies only and no low budget shits plzkthx.
>>84816098
>comfy horror movie
oxymoron
The biggest horroshow in America is the recent legalization of homosexual marriage
Lovecraft's Mythos can not be captured on film. At best you are gonna have a movie about a group of occultists/investigators talking about creepy shit and how it drove them mad. The creatures themselves can not be portrayed in a visual form, only described (but still lacking in details). That's the whole point.
That being said, there are plenty of movies that are partially inspired by or are similar to Lovecraft's work. In random order:
Hellraiser
Lo
Banshee Chapter
Beyond the Black Rainbow
The Thing
Prince of Darkness
Cabin in the Woods
Begotten (skip this if you don't like experimental and pretentious le2deep4u movies)
The Fly ('86 version)
Videodrome
The Mist
Lord of Illusions
Village of the Damned
