Batman: The Movie (the one for the 66 show) and Batman Returns are my personal choices.
Mask Of The Phantasm is animation but it's probably the overall best, and the most faithful, Batman film out there.

Only Nolan's trilogy needs to be watched in order. The rest you can pretty much pick randomly.

Absolutely.
Unless you insist that Batman needs to be as gritty and "realistic" as possible, in which case you'll probably not like them.

I think it depends on what you are looking for.
If you watch Batman for the atmosphere, the gothic design and the characters, you'll probably enjoy the Burton movies more.
If you watch Batman for camp and shlock and humor, then you'll prefer the Adam West movie, and maybe you'll get something out of the Schumacher films.
If you watch Batman for action and drama, stick with Nolan.
And if you have a hard-on for TDKR Batman then maybe you'll enjoy BvS.

There's something for everyone in Batman.

Not that anon, but Phantasm is just ok, the central conceit isnt that interesting, there were a lot better single episodes. And TDKR adaptation is an abortion. 'Red Hood' is surprisingly good.

The TAS Batman being fucking SPECTACULAR isn't a fault for Phantasm not being as good. Phantasm is still great but if it even approaches the brilliance of TAS, then it is better than other animated movies. The intro theme alone captures Batman's essence better than any film to date.
