When creating aliens in a sci-fi setting, how do you go about creating their names and the names for their places and ships?
Do you just do it in English?
Go full Tolkien and make up languages?
Add apostrophes to everything?
I ask because while working on a setting and trying to brainstorm a capital city, a friend suggested "Highest Heaven". I thought it sounded cool, but how immersive is it for players if the names use human languages and ideas?
Am I overthinking making alien things for a game?

Ask them what type of game they want to play. Ask them if they're having fun.
If they can't answer those questions, ask why it is they want to play D&D to begin with.
If they can't answer any of this, consider getting a new group with people that can.

Repo: A Genetic Opera. Its a musical set in a Cyberpunk world where designer organs and surgeries are all the rage, and the Governments have passed laws that allow companies to forcibly repossess (i.e slaughter the current possessors of) organs when folks can't make their payments. The plot centers around the sickly daughter of one of the enigmatic Repomen, and the strained relation she has with him, as well as the Repoman himself and the tragic events that led him to his current profession.
All the actors give very strong performances, and I personally found the story to be pretty gripping.

I'm about to DM 5e to some friends, most of which have never played but seem to grasp the game. I'm super short on props and ideas, so I've got some questions.
If I have a hedge maze, and want to hide the different paths on a battle mat, would I just use paper? How would I keep track of the enemies?

Keep a minimap behind your screen/on a notepad and draw it out as the Pc's explore it.
But I do have some questions; how is it a homebrew if you are running dnd 5e?

Magically sealed under/in a dungeon is an ancient lich who is extremely bored and just wants to get out. Before the lich was sealed he tried the whole take over the land thing but found out it wasn't for him so he turned to doing harmless pranks against the people of that land. A group if adventurers from that time and from a different area heard about the old stuff this lich had done but not about being reformed. They set off to defeat the lich ignoring any protests from the people to not do it. They fought the lich just defending himself. They couldn't find the phylactery so instead they magically sealed the lich in the dungeon where he has been for the last long while. He's really bored.

A group of demi gods offers the party to make them their champions if they defeat them or their paladins in one on one battles.
Winning should give them a decent magical boost like adding element damage to weapons and such depending on what god wins, but the party will now constantly be in danger of being attacked by other champions.

Hello! Im looking to start Dm-ing a DnD 5e campaign, with an eldritch twist. Im thinking of making the players go through increasingly insane plot arcs, and small tasks and what not before the whole city they're in goes kaput and turns into some sort of Lovecraftian hell.
I cant really find any campaigns or resources for this though. Id be using roll20, and if anyone could help me out with links to different small adventures, monster-manuals or whatnot, Id appreciate it. Thank you.
