>He always acted after thinking and planning. This prevented the gods from affecting him with dice rolls.
>He wasn't interested in abilities or cheats.
>Even the gods hated this.

>He doesn't move from a single word you say to him.
>And since he isn't affect by the dice roll of gods, not even the gods can predict how his adventures will end.
Can anyone explain if this is feasible or even legal in any DnD game? Sounds more like he's cheating. I could think of many ways to mess up a PC which even a roll-ignoring guy won't survive if I need to.
>>55045104
It's not possible at all, which is why it didn't actually happen, it's just moonrune silliness.
>>55045125
That's explains everything. There's no way that'd be allowed.

Sounds like DMPC

Thoughts on this guy? I might be able to get him in two weeks or so.
I don't play Imperium though so I'm not sure how much use he'd be for me. Could maybe sell him on e-bay or I could try maybe painting him up as an Alpha Legion and run him as a Chaos Lord.
Thoughts?

How do you fix Essos?
Another writer could be entrusted to do a story in Yi Ti. That way we get further rumored information about the west and central side of Essos and finally get information on Yi Ti maybe even Shadowlands.
>>55043103
The only way to fix it is to conquer the entire western part and create the new Ghiscari empire. I assume Daenerys will do at least the first part when she gets back from dothraki - Volantis and Pentos getting wrecked, at least, is well-foreshadowed.
>>55044083
Alternatively, if Dany just stayed put and tried to do her best to establish a new economy in Meereen, she would have fixed at least the city. Putting a cross on all her successes and just flying away on a dragon was a big mistake, though, one that will cost her this option. After the fighting pits disaster, warfare is the only thing left.

Because even in the grimdarkness of the 41st millennium, there is still some left.
I ran a campaign yesterday and one of my players opened fire on the other one. the buildup to the fight was played out in character and i could see a fight starting between the two
the combat starts and another player told me to stop running combat, and he insisted that most GMs have a house rule against pvp combat, and that as a GM i should just not let this happen.
his argument was that it wasted time and that the player that lost the combat had to sit out of the next dungeon because he was out of hit dice and the rest of the party refused to heal him because he literally assaulted another party member, but i feel like that's something he should discussed with the other players instead of making the GM arbitrarily declare "no your character's can't do that because plot"
does anyone actually do this? how the fuck do you tell your players "no you can't fight each other" artificially?
>>55041907
The common rule is no PVP because it helps keep everyone playing nicely together.
Ask yourself this
"what reason do the PCS now have for travailing together? IF they hate each other so much why would they stick around."
I do agree you are right about the GM shouldnt just stop the players doing stuff just because.
Really it should just be somthing the players not do because, just like you shouldnt steal off each other and keep all the loot that other classes can use, its just not the right thing to do
The PC who got attack or did the attacking should leave the party
>>55041907
>how the fuck do you tell your players "no you can't fight each other"
You don't. It seems like both players are douchebags. You should really beat the shit out of them in RL and be done with it. Assert true DM power

What are your quality of life house rules?
I know this isn't the right edition but I've gotta learn 3.5 ed in a few days time. Anyone got good resources for it?
All I've ever done before outside of wargaming is a few oneshots of 5th ed so I'm pretty much going from scratch here. Thanks for any help.
>>55040880
Dumb idea. Drawing a weapon used in an attack is a given. If someone can throw three axes or shoot three arrows, there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to throw three javelins.
>>55040645
Given that greatswords in real life don't HAVE sheathes, and they were typically put on CARTS when not used, seems reasonable
Okay /tg/, I want to make something. I want to make a Free Open Source Card-game (FOSC), one that's Free as in Freedom. People will be free to fork their own versions of the game, redistribute, or alter it in any manner, provided of course that the people playing agree on the set of rules being used.
Ideally, me and whomever else is working on it will simply list card names and details in a list, with simple PNGs that can be printed out or ported to a piece of software to play online with (think pic related, but a transparent background to be swapped out for whatever art the player wants), and as it grows "Official art" when available would be a free use donated image.
Source rule on printing cards would simply be:
1: To not alter the card mechanics, costs, names, etc. from the set of rules being used.
2: To either:
(a): Cut cards uniformly, use paper that is thick enough to not allow transparency from the back, use uniform paper thickness and types
(b): Ensure all cards can fit in a sleeve, ensure all sleeves are uniform.
3: To make sure that cards are clear to identify and differentiate.
I've yet to decide on the actual standards and mechanics, pic related is just a mock-up to grab attention and portray the idea.
So I ask, would there be an interest in this, whether here or elsewhere, and if the former is true, what sort of stuff or ideas would you like to see in it?
>I've yet to decide on the actual standards and mechanics
lol
The point of this thread is how good it is, but trying to work towards something that is a good idea and won't try to be cardboard cocaine with high costs.
I like the idea but that's overtly raw. You need to come up with at least 1 set of rules and cards fitting that rules before pitching it.
The overall concept is good but the feeling I have is that you thought of it in the last hour and typed it out on /tg/. This means you are highly likely to flake out of this idea within a week.
Show some actual work, and some creativity, and then you will find people willing to contribute.
How you pitch an idea is almost always more important than the idea itself in getting traction. Bad ideas with good pitches get funded or get followers, good ideas with bad pitches don't.
Best of luck, OP.
I'm leaking everything edition!

What do you want to see next?
first for seraphon top tier finally
So the recent Destruction live twitch stream gave some hope for some of you.
This is just a summary of what was discussed on the livestream, but the big thing to pay attention to is how he said the rules team reviewed the grand alliance books and the model ranges and asked if its model range is large enough, and pick from that factions that they would not be producing a battletome for soon, and make allegiance rules for those. So we can guess from factions that are definitely large enough, that are not getting allegiance rules, will likely be getting a battletome before the next GHB. To me would could be seeing the following factions getting battletomes within the next year:
nurgle rotbringers combined with nurgle daemons (strong rumors that this is coming)
clan verminus
deathrattle (strong rumors that this is coming)
moonclan grots
gutbusters
gitmob grots
greenskinz

What are some fun and interesting ideas for a bard?
I like the niche of a bard, a party friendly lightly magical jack of all trades, but can never truly integrate the musical side of things into my character's story.
I don't think I've ever played a musical bard. I've always played them as orators, circus performers, storytellers, stage magicians, and/or writers.
I mean hell, the original "Bard of Avon" was Shakespeare.
>>55040417
If you're interested in the magic more than the music, play the Bard that way. The music is a means to an end, and a far more accessible one than a wizard's studying or cleric's prayer. My bard pursues understanding of magic in part to assail the traditional gate keepers of magic, clergy and scholars. It also plays well at the table when you are mocking traditional dramatic caster gesticulations.
