Hey /o/,

I have 16k saved up to spend on a car. It can be used as a down payment or I can buy something used. This will actually be my first car, as I've been relying on borrowing my parents' cars, public transportation, and my gf picks me up from work. I make 45k a year right now, but I don't really want to have to make payments on a depreciating asset.

The thing is, I'm 25 and I've waited a really, really, long time to finally be able to buy something I want. I've always wanted a LS-swapped S13, since it's 350HP+ in a 2700 pound car. But I know that's not practical at all, seeing as how this will have to be a daily driver. I've also looked at the FRS/BRZ, but I am not about to spend 27k. I don't mind saving up a bit more.

Any recommendations?

Must be manual and AWD or RWD.

I've got a problem /o/. My dad has had this firebird for 2 years and he is letting it rot in the grass and keeps procrastinating. I doubt he'll get it fixed so I want to. It cranks over but won't start. I've jumped the battery and use starter spray. Still won't crank over. Any ideas what would cause this?

>>
>>14855324
Check fuel/air filters, spark plugs
>>
What happens when you try to start it exactly? Sounds, vibrations, etc, be very specific.
>>
>>14855348
Cranking like almost to start but never catches. Also backfires bad if using starter fluid

how do I get into cars and how they work?

Alright Carolina-fags, I've seen plenty of other regions organizing a meet, why haven't we yet? How many of you are even on here? I was thinking somewhere around Pilot Mountain is a solid place to find some fun roads and should be day-trip able for most parts of the state.

>>
Durham here. I'm down for a meet.

Chances are we'd have better luck near the Triangle or Charlotte, but obviously better roads live out West.
>>
>>14846632
Raleigh here, yeah Charlotte or the Triangle or the Triad would be good, but we'd have to find a pretty sweet cruising route.

Alternatively we could meet at a backwoods bbq shack in the middle of nowhere and cruise out from there.

Which japanese car is closest to being a 911?

by this i mean:

>remained relatively unchanged in recipe over many different generations
>many high dollar modified versions or restomod versions being made
>large aftermarket with well made parts
>can be driven both daily and on track without breaking, even when modified
>rabid fanbase that goes beyond just stance and dynoqueens, actually tracks the car

The RX-7, maybe? Or the GTR?

The expensive performance cars the Japanese make don't typically last as long as the 911 without major changes.

Everyone is going to say Nissan Z cars.

The reality is that such a car does not exist.

how do i improve?

in the pic, the bumper of the car that's entering the spot is crossing into the adjacent spot. is this normal?

Yes thats normal.

Learn your car and parking wont be hard. I drive a boat and can park in tight spots without worrying and get it first try in one smooth motion because I know where the end of my car is relative to the cars parked on either side of me.

just git gud faggot

i tried going to an empty parking lot to practice, but i didn't know if i was doing it right. always feel like if there were cars, I would hit one.

Set up cones, or trashcans. Mark out a spot. Figure out where where you car is.
