why don't you have a boat, /o/?
I do have a boat.

Say I want to build my own Caterham, but I live in the US. I've done some googling, but I can't seem to find anything helpful about it. Any ideas?

where in there do you see a self assembly option?
when i tried all i found were dealer locators.

>HREs
They're not good wheels, just expensive ones.
>>14856048
HREs are actually great, just not the stupid three-piece luxorice ones.
I always thought they were expensive bullshit for rich guys until I got firsthand experience with them, and the single-piece forged ones are great. They sponsor my old shop, and we had great luck with them over numerous events on both of our track cars. (E92 M3 and 991 GT3.) They held up better than our previous Volks and WAY better than the Apexes we ran for a bit while they sponsored us (we managed to bend four wheels in two sessions on Buttonwillow once), and fit and finish were really nice too.
Went to get my oil change for 20 buck and the mechanic told me I should change my brake fluid because it look somewhat red I said yes I spent like 100
Now my friends are telling me I was scammed. was i?
You could do worse - I got my throttle body and injectors cleaned "really really well" for 300 bucks, to pass a smog test. Im sure I was scammed and was an idiot for not running some fuel cleaner through myself for a few tanks.
>>14855777
Check bleeder valves for wrench marks.
>>14855799
Fuel cleaner? You just got scammed.
Why haven't you switched to diesel yet?
>diesel is cheaper than petrol
>top of the range diesel cars of today piss all over performance cars of 10 years ago
>huge MPG regardless of how you drive, more time driving less time worrying about all the money you are losing on fuel
>fucking sikk torque for ez wheel spins
>top tier torque makes for super fast feeling car even if it isn't
>some diesels can even sound good
>diesel engines typically last longer than petrols, and require less servicing
>modern diesels don't have the shitty short rev range and huge turbo lag of old, literally better to drive than a petrol
Are you a cuck?
>BMW diesel
>Almost out of DEF? lol guess you can't start your car
>>14855656
>>diesel is cheaper than petrol
not in america it isn't
>>14855656
because it's fucking diesel. If it was better than petrol it would've taken over the industry already.
Diesel is yesterdays news. Electric vehicles have taken it's place.

Maybe they're finally getting tired of being good little cucks and fighting back.
Or maybe they're so cucked they're not allowed to like anything from their own country.

>Ford shills are back in full force
>starting to see shill trends on /o/
Fuck off shills!
If you could get a shitbox and have one aspect of it be perfect, what would it be?
Examples:
handling
>your car will never lose grip around corners, no matter the speed, and will always turn how you input
aesthetics
>everyone who sees your car will think it looks cool
reliability
>nothing on your car will ever break or wear out, you can beat on it all you want
economy
>never buy gas
braking, acceleration, and even handling could destroy you inside the car if you aren't careful though
>>14855005
Either reliability or economy, because
>yurop
I'd get a 944 or something without having to worry about repairs.
>>14855005
>reliability
>>nothing on your car will ever break or wear out, you can beat on it all you want
This. You could put 4000hp on stock with that
>>14855005
>handling
>>your car will never lose grip around corners, no matter the speed, and will always turn how you input
Sounds pretty good to me
I would be king of the tooge
The Environmental Protection Agency has killed off a controversial proposal that could have outlawed street-car-to-race-car-conversions (theoretically, at least) in the wake of a public outcry—and an inquiry by Republican members of Congress.
“The proposed language in the July 2015 proposal was never intended to represent any change in the law or in EPA’s policies or practices towards dedicated competition vehicles," the EPA said in a statement, according to Automotive News. “Since our attempt to clarify led to confusion, EPA has decided to eliminate the proposed language from the final rule.”
The original rule had been tucked deep within a lengthy proposal published in mid-2015, but it wasn't until the Specialty Equipment Market Association drew attention to the fact that the language could be used to prevent private citizens from converting their street-legal vehicles into track toys that the proposal began to draw fire.

so it's decent ?
its the worst compact car you can get, slow as fuck and bland handling. get a ford focus or mazda 3 instead, more power and better handling, and their not GM
What's your worst freak accident story /o/? Mine happened today when a house painter fell off my roof with his paint and ladder ONTO my car. Luckily he was okay and one of the other workers sprayed my car down quickly after the fall, the dents/scratches are minimal(but still noticable) and the house-paint seemed to come off when I washed it with soap after they rinsed it.
Pic is just after I moved it out of the driveway so they could clean up the paint on the ground. This and a 100 deg. fever is making for a not so awesome Friday.
One of the worse scratches/dents from the ladder falling on it, after I cleaned it.

>come home, driving my wife's shequinox
>some beat up Toyota is in my driveway
>think my house might be getting robbed
>slowly approach drivers door, she a chick with purple hair sleeping
>think it's a drunk driver, peek a little further and tap on the glass
>there's a stoner looking dude in the passenger seat
>he's sees me and jumps out of the car
>asks me if some Mexican dude lives in my house
>nope
>"oh, we must have the wrong address, sorry."
>jumps in car and chick backs up
>start to yell stop but it's too late
>hits my wife's car with my wife and kids inside
>stoner guy jumps out
>"hey man, looks like there's no damage"
>look at car, drivers door and quarter panel have dents and scratches all down the side
>stoners panic
>"Hey bro, you can just take down our plates we got a hungry baby in the car and we have to go"
>nope
>call cops
>file report
>MFW they owner of the car wasn't in the car
>the owner of the car didn't have them as drivers despite living with them
>MFW accident isn't covered by their insurance
>MFW I'm still dealing with this shit 5 months after it happened
>MFW I have no face
And that's the story of how I got into an accident in my own driveway.
So why is it that mustangs owners can't drive in straight lines?
what the fuck

I had a lot of fun last time, so here's another daily craigslist thread.
Last thread is located at >>14848278
This thread is for those of you who wish to be spoonfed.
>how it works
You tell me where you are, preferably linking your local CL in the post.
You inform me of your min/max budget
You tell me if you want auto/manual.
I can work with just a max budget and an area, but without specifics I'll be reaching in the dark.
>Disclaimer
I'm not well-versed in things that aren't sedans, coupes, convertibles, or hatchbacks (occasionally wagons).
I have shit taste, and it will show in what I suggest.
Enjoy!

that's a big budget man, with lots of options, you want to go fast in a straight line?
Would you like projects, stock cars you can buy and have money to mod, or pre-modded?
>>14856510
Well me and my friend were toying around today about the idea of a project car we work on for a while and turning into a beast. So preferably projects
Alright, I completely screwed up and need advice... I got a new car recently and it had an odd smell. In order to clean it, I poured a lot of water on the interior (now knowing this is a HORRIBLE idea!) About a half hour ago, when I was still cleaning it, the speakers kept making a squealing noise. Now I realized it was an idiotic idea to pour water with a lot of electrical wiring. Are my speakers completely shot? I don't want to start it again until it completely dries... Also, what should I expect when I turn over the engine?
Also, pic related, what I drive.
I smirked, but that was it.
>>14855329
crackling in the speakers definitely sounds like something short circuited.
Yes you probably did fuck your speakers
If there was a smell on the upholstery or dash why didn't you just get a rag and some windex or armor all and just clean it?
1994 Mazda Miata. Finally got one! At a great price too!
