Hello /o/, I'm 26 and have no debt anymore, my grandfather recently passed and left me 14,500usd, looking to get a new car, I've got a 1987 Mercedes Diesel, got it for 750 from my dads friend senior year in highschool.
>pic related, not mine though just some random
willing to spend 14,500 on a new car, need something just for work to home, home to work type of deal. be good on gas pls
>>14859667
Honda Fit
What the fuck. You already have the perfect car.
That $14,500 could be put to better use instead of wasting it on a depreciating asset.
Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla.
Don't buy new because why would you.
As a daily driver? What's so good about them than other cars?
>>14859639
>What's so good about them than other cars?
well its not an Audi or BMW so that's a start
Why not?
used XJs from 2011 on have extremely pretty interiors
>tfw first weekend of warm weather after a long winter
>tfw everyone is out with their bikes and nice cars
>tfw you will never know that feeling because you're a poorfag and drive the same shitbox all year.
It ok, anon. I know how you feel. Bikes everywhere where I live
Just go drive your shitbox you insecure faggot
>>14859611
This. With the windows down, on a nice day even a shitbox makes for a great drive.
You just need to get out there and drive
He does it for free edition

why do automatic cars have gear neutral?
For revving at a stoplight
The same reason why a manual has one, my nigga.
>>14858632
To disengage the transmission?
Cop or not thread? Post what you're contemplating pulling the trigger on and receive advice/get called a faggot by other anons
I was gonna send this guy a low ball and see what he responds with. Light body damage and completely fucked seats, but shit man its a fairly low km mark 4
Those wheels would be the first thing to go. N/A BTW, turbo model is illegal on a provisional licence in Australia
>>14857793
those seats hnnng
V6>V8
The Ford GT is confirmed to sound absolutely insane. There is literally no reason to ever buy a V8 again.

I don't think it sounded all that great.
>V10 still reigning champ

sounds pretty good but still nothing compared to this at 2 minutes
Have they finally made a not bad looking econo shitbox?
>rear drum brakes
>>14856035
Looks the same as everything else to me. Nothing about it is distasteful, but there's nothing to appreciate either. It looks like a car.
>>14856072
the proportions are well rounded and easier on the eye - lines and edges actually start and finish appropriately unlike every other edgy fucking asian shitbox out right now.
>not cutting fenders before installing flares
wtf is this cancerous shit?
>>14855089
It was cancer long before today, Opie.
>>14855089
Why do people do this to either cars without adjusting their suspension to flatten out the camber?
Seriously like that camber is so fucking angled you couldn't take a turn hard enough to straighten out the tire like that god fucking damn. And they wonder why their car runs like shit when they lose traction
>>14855105
This triggers me
Okay /o/, I have a 97 Camaro Z28. It has a slushbox that just blew the fuck up, I dropped the transmission today and took it somewhere to get their verdict on what's fucked in it. I've wished the car was manual for some time, but I'm too poor to get a T-56 for it. I'm curious if it would be at all viable to put a Muncie or Borg-Warner Super T10 in it, there are several for sale in my area. I know that the bellhousing bolt pattern on my LT1 hasn't changed since 1955, my main concern would be the input shaft, making a shifter fit, and figuring out a clutch linkage that would work. Any thoughts?
Oh yeah I know I would also need a new transmission crossmember with a way to connect the torque arm to it. This is just something I'm sort of spitballing, I'm hardly set on the idea.
Do it right and just get a T56.
sell it
buy a 98+ LS1 with a t56.
faster and more fuel efficient
I'll keep it short and sweet.
My oil light has been beeping for almost a year. A few hours ago the flashing light stayed on, and my car engine began to sound like a motorcycle.
The car mentioned is a 2003 PT Cruiser with 155,905 miles on it.
Got it towed back to my place, filled the empty tank with oil, and now it still purrs like a moderately quiet boat, and I can still drive it to a limited degree.
What do I do? How fucked am I?
>>14854754
>My oil light has been beeping for almost a year.
>almost a year.
>a year.
>What do I do?
Scrap the car and never drive again. A bus pass seems more up your alley.

>My oil light has been beeping for almost a year
>>14855183
Nah, he's driving a pt cruiser. He's good.
Ok so /o/, how do I start to build this car? Its a 2007 mustang GT and its bone stock. with all the memes the price fell down to 6.5k with right under 100k miles. there is not a single thing wrong with this car, its amazing. one owner before myself and serviced every 5000 miles at the dealership. shits crazy. the question now is where do I start? how do I build the 4.6 3v? pro-charger or supercharger? the only thing i have lined up right now is two 18x10/18x9 wheels with 305/35 on rear and 255/45 on front. any advice for what to do next?
Brakes if they aren't great and suspension, at least lower that monster truck an inch.
Cold air intake
Off-road x pipe

Does anyone here own or has owned an imported car?
Whether it be JDM or EDM in the US or Canada what was it like?
I really want pic related but feel like if I ever found one near me the insurance and maintenance would kill me
My crx was once in Puerto Rico dose that count now it's home in Va
I once considered buying an A3 quattro which was a German import, does that count?
I was conceived in the back seat of a BMW in Eastern Europe and born in Canada, does that count?
Apparently Petro-Canada sells 94 octane on top of the usual 87/89/91 you usually see. What cars would benefit from a octane rating this high?
I'm guessing this would be like a 100 RON for Europeans/Nips.
maybe its a shill for 91 users to blow even more mula money bags
>>14847197
Tarbos
Is that RM2 octane like they do in the States, or RON octane like they do in Yurp?
Technically nothing should be able to take advantage of the higher octane, but certain turbocharged engines may have part of their timing / boost map set to take advantage of the higher octane.
Note: if that octane boost is achieved by using extra ethanol, you may still not see the additional power because ethanol has less 'energy' than gasoline.
