Been building a track car for the past year. It's getting near to where I want it to be. I want to keep it street legal, as it's definitely fun on the streets, but it's primarily going to be my track toy these days. I got a Ford Expedition to tow it to track days now too (just gotta find a trailer before I do Laguna Seca again in Oct). Engine and exhaust are 100% stock because Laguna Seca are faggots and have 90dB noise restriction. Stock C5 Z06 Ti exhaust was clocked at 89.5dB last I went.

I think I might upgrade the cooling system to a dedicated alum radiator and a dedicated racing oil radiator. I'm getting 250F oil temps on track even with my upgraded setup. That's not good running 5w-30 oil the mfg recommends. I think I'm going to try water wetter and 1:3 mix ratio of coolant to water.
Also, I'm worried about overheating my transaxle. Gear oil came out burnt before from my diff. They sell tranny/diff cooling kits for about $1200.

Should I buy this car for $400?
1962 Plymouth Valiant
My mom's landlord currently owns it but my mom is moving soon and he wants to get the car off the property. It did belong to the previous tenant but he died a couple years ago. Previous tenant found it in some old ladies shed with about 50k miles on it, drove it here from out of state, and let it sit until he died, which is when my mom started renting the house. The title has been transferred to the landlord and is clean, the only issue is the current state of the car. It does not currently run so I will probably have to put a little work to get it running and the floor pans are pretty rusty but other than that the interior is perfect and the entire car is 100% stock.

Just make sure that there's no air in the system after you fill it again.
There are two things you don't want in your brake lines: air (or any compressable gas) and water (brake fluid will easily get heated up to over 100 degrees Celsius and water tends to turn into steam then... which is bad, since it's a compressable gas).

To cut a long story short, I've recently sold a business for £4.3m (net of taxes) and I'd like to buy a nice car.
I can easily afford a nice new Continental GT, but I'm somewhat concerned about what people will think about it. Will I just look like someone who can't afford a Rolls Royce Wraith?
I can buy either (though obviously the Rolls would put a rather larger dent in my bank balance) and to be perfectly honest I personally prefer the look of the Bentley, but will people think I'm only a doctor or a lawyer or something if I do?
