>driving down through virginia on roadtrip
>cruising 10 over on an empty highway marked 55 mph, because that's what everyone does in pennsylvania
>(in PA they legally cannot ticket you until you go at least 6 mph over, so most cops will only ticket for more than 10 over)

>it turns out pennsyvlvania does not record or assign points for speeding tickets out of state, unless it's a felony offense
feels good knowing insurance won't find out. But I still have to pay a 150$ ticket to virginia. Fuck virginia.

Every other time I've been pulled over I've been let off with warnings. Hell one time the chp just flashed his headlights at me when I was going 105 on the highway to warn me to slow down. I guess cops where I live aren't so harsh and really appreciate politeness and honesty.

I have a problem with my z24 engine.
>start engine up
>runs and sounds fine
>choke kicks off
>rough idle and soon stalls and quits
>thinks there might be a problem with the idle circuit
>look to see and find out that the yellow wire that goes to the idle cut solenoid is showing a big fat lump near the end of it (which it shouldn't have, only smooth across)
My question is this since the idle circuit needs 12 volts consistently to run right.
If a wire insulation shows a big fat lump, does that mean that the copper wiring inside it is broke/snapped and is cutting off the 12 volts from reaching whatever it needs to reach?

it's not really the deal itself that's great, but the truck itself. I overpayed but my then current vehicle's transmission shit itself in a bad way
it's my best deal because this ugly piece of shit will not die no matter what i do. I've taken it around the country twice (coast to coast). it's gotten me through the woods of NC, iced over backroads in ohio, and had no problem hauling everything i own from NC to WA. I've taken it through multiple winter road trips. it's 20 miles from 180k and I think I can get it to 200k no problem, except my parents keep whining at me to replace it

Any other LS owner's out there? This is my first luxury car.
It doesn't have near the balls that my 4.6L SN-95 GT did, but the LS has spoiled me to death.
Seeking advice and suggestions as a new owner.
Had I known that neither Chilton's or Hayne's produce a manual I probably wouldn't have bought the car.
Currently seeking common parts recommendations, specifically quality A-frame sway bar bushings and/or quality coil packs.

The lincoln ls eats coils for breakfast lunch and dinner. Even through regular maintenance you might have coils and plugs go bad on you. Symptoms are check engine lights, misfires, dead cats and other problems if not taken care of properly. When changing these you might as well change the valve cover gaskets to prevent oil getting in the wells which probably damaged the coils in the first place. You should also change the spark plugs while you are at it, and remember to use good quality coils and plus otherwise you will have problems soon after you replace these. Be aware that any jerking, stuttering, or shaking can also be symptoms of a vacuum leak or bad pcv on top of the coils."
