My grandfather brought this motorcycle from 1938 to my house about two years ago. I have taken care of it as if it were mine since that day, he does not want to repair it. It only needs a battery and a coil. I really want to make it work and take to the streets to see it in action, I currently have the money to do it, but maybe he would be mad at me for touching his motorcycle. What should I do?
do it. why would he be mad that you added value to an already pretty neat bike?
>I have taken care of it
If you took care of it how come it doesn't work?
>>17766206
Ask him if you can fix it and ride it.... duh
Anyone here have personalized vanity plates, or are they always tacky without exception?
>>17766195
I got one, paid for it but haven't had an update on it. My tags expired but i have them, should i put it on my current plates or on should i wait until my California legacy plates get here?
Saw this one with 'goatse' on it. I chuckled.
>>17766195
I had some great ones over the years. generally just fucked up on renewing them and got stuck with normie plates
COPBAIT is generally a toplaff one for boomers. I give it to you all freely.
I take care of my car, so no.
that means it's burning oil
No.
I bought a 2014 Chevy Cruze lt recently. I think it's a bit heavy for a i4 but a nice ride. 2014 seems to be the best year for the cruze also

Lamborghinis are better because they're a recognizable brand.
Women don't even know what a koenigsegg is.

Is it worth importing a RHD car that the US never got? Will parts and repairs just eat up my paychecks in the future?
pic related, I wanna import a Toyota Mark II

It's slow, parts are not plentiful, and any neat exterior parts have a faggot "muh shakotan!" Tax on them by fags and losers who take pictures of cars and think they're huge car guys.
If you can find one that isn't overpriced go for it. Mark II is what I prefer between it, the Cresta and the Chaser.
so is a clutch like a brakepad in you transmission or something? putting a wear item like that in your transmission is really stupid. it really goes to show why everyone likes automatics better.

Made me reply
>>17765792
Are you fucking retarded? Automatics use ALOT more friction materials and clutch packs than a manual will.
Autos, no matter how they are built will slip (and are designed to, sadly) and eventually wear out.
A manual trans will never slip (Unless the dumbass driver rides the clutch, the clutch is worn or out of adjustment)

Hey /o/, you guys were cool in the past so im gonna ask another guestion here.
A 2002 nissan sentra 1.8 through a p0301 code. Apparently it had previously had all spark plugs replaced and ignition coil3 replaced within the last month.
Since I assume the first coil is going bad should I replace 2 and 4 if it is coil going out?
Also also I heard something about spotty fuel pumps on nissan sentra's arou d that time. Should I look into that?
>>17765636
did you use oem or ngk or denso parts?
More then likely aftermarket parts. The first repairs were done before I got the car by a mechanic. Should I spring for actual manufacture or is aftermarket okay?
>>17765664
always use oem parts. i'd swap the first coil to 2 or 4 to see if the code moves.

I just got my frontal brake pads changed. Drove from home to uni(about 15km). About two blocks away from the parking lot it started making a weird sound and the brake went long. I pumped and it got fixed. Started going again and it made the sound + loose brakes again.
What do? I have to go home but I'm too afraid to drive
your hand brake/parking brake/e-brake works, right?
>>17765297
Yeah
Describe the weird sound. Also, what the fuck does "the brake went long" mean? Does that mean the pedal dropped to the floor without doing anything? If so, it sounds like it could be an air bubble in your brake fluid. If so, it's possible when they did your brake pads they fucked up and the brakes need to be bled.
How do you guys deal with giving up on your car? Im at the end of the rope for my car and all its kind. My metro blew a engine on a highway recently and my other one broke in half. I'm sick of dealing with these stranded breaks. I'm putting a new motor into it but I'm really thinking of selling it off. What do you guys think? I love it to death but is it time to throw In the towel?
Obviously put the engine from the one that broke in half in the one that blew. Have Crummy do it for you for a handjob.
How well do those 3-cyl engines hold up to 5000+ RPM?
>>17765294
They just make noise. Thing is they technically can't redline I heard because power is real low
Sounds almost like a nice v6
>>17765281
Already took it out. Now I gotta tow the other car home
