Poor-fags stuck with automatic cars? I'm grateful that I have a car, but I wish it were even a manual Civic.
>>17204028
>not having one of each
auto for commute/comfy
manual for fun/reckless driving
I just wish I had a shift boot...
>>17204404
>b&m shifter on a shitbox
>manually shifting an auto without a manual valve body
it's almost like you want to break your trans.
What went wrong?
>>17203976
Yes
>hey guys let's create a car brand for young people to buy new cars!
>Let's make them all fwd!
>Let's do this in 2005!
Targeting a market that was shrinking at a rapid pace.
What's everyone's opinion on an e30 as a daily driver?
its a car. it moves. it gets 20mpg.
so, yeah it's a daily driver.
>>17203910
About as reliable as a Toyota +10 years and 100,000 miles.
Use a reliable Japanese car for daily driving and some two-door coupe for weekend driving
Why do Ford vee-ate's sound like hot ass? It's like hearing a ripping fart go through a trombone.
they don't though. ford is also objectively better than dodge for performance
Overhead cams
>>17203735
This is a thread about exhaust sound. Fords sound awful and Dodge exhaust sounds 99x better.
About to pull the trigger on this.
Mazda 3 Sedan Grand Touring. 2.5l engine, 6 speed MT.
What do you think?
>not the hatch
>Not Mazdaspeed
Gross
>>17203629
Wtf is going on with his picture
>>17203629
You're literally getting the version of the 3k civic meme that you have to finance
Does the supercharger affect the reliability of the 3800?
Forced induction will always negatively affect the reliability of an engine.
>>17203574
dawww look at the cute baby blower!
If your ride doesn't have some sort of motorsports history, it can't even be considered a car.
You guys are stupid
who cares
you can race anything
real test is if it holds a record or not
if it doesnt its a piece of shit
my car holds the World Closed Course Speed Record for non turbo 4-cylinder powered race cars.
>>17203486
It's true though. If your car, a sports car no less, has no motorsports heritage or lineage, then it's fucking trash. At no point during its development would somebody have said "we need this part, designed this way, because we need to go faster". That's why Koreans simply can't compete. Except for the i20 and Tiburon, strangely.
Euro here,
What is the best Pickup Truck to buy in Europe that is cheap used, and is easily fixed and has a long lifetime?
pic unrelated (just a google image of pickup trucks)
I like the Tacoma/Hilux, personally. But not sure what you're using it for
>>17203320
any years I should look out for or stay away from?
>>17203303
Get an ISIS Hilux. You will blend in when you visit the neighborhood your wife's bull lives in.
Tfw shit-eyed betas with less than 20/20 vision will never be able to be great drivers.
>tfw i have superior 20/10 vision
feels gud
dang didnt know it was the stone age times before we could fix those kinds of things
>>17203220
it'll never be as good as my natural 20/16 though
Hey guys. Post your face when you realized this was actually supposed to be a board for auto related animes but some normies turned it into an actual car board a while back.
Anyways what are some good auto animes?
>>17203121
>animes
>>17203121
It's not like there's many.
Wangan Midnight, Initial D, and Speed Racer
and Redline.
As for Manga There's Over Rev as well, Shokatan Boogie and a few more.
TFW scans for King never. Granted the only thing I know about King is the main car is a wide body mid engined CR-X powered by a Subaru engine.
>>17203134
To correct me is one thing. To have that image ready to go?
Tell me why I shouldn't get this

It will be my only car
I will
>DD to college, only a 10 minutes drive about
>Drive from my hometown to college and back several times a year- about 300 miles with crossing a small easy mountain pass
>Won't have a garage at college
What do you guys think?
Its an 82 rabbit Diesel pickup, with 220,000 miles and a rebuild at 200,000.
Is this car terrible for my situation? Does it have too many miles? Or does the rebuild negate that?
I've never done anything with a diesel engine and that worries me a little. I've got a buddy who is a huge hick and can probably help me out if I need it. And my brother ised to have an 83 rabbit gasoline convertible so he may be able to help me with some of the other stuff with it if need be.
It says the radio doesn't work, is that a really bad sign or do I just need to buy a new radio?
Lastly, is it a good price? It seems a little much but these things are really rare in this condition
I know it's not the most practical car, for some reason I just love these little things. The farm I used to work at has one like this still running that they bought new in the 80s when my dad worked there. That's probably why
Worst case scenario, you have a solid little project to work on. I say go for it. These rabbit trucks are getting harder and harder to get with Gen X eating them all up.
>>17202896
>Fun little project
The thing is it'll be my only car for college. I do live right next to a bus stop though so if I need to my student ID doubles as a free bus pass. When I'm at home in the summer my family has 2 extra cars so thats not a problem. The biggest thing is I need to drive it 300 miles to get to school in the fall, back for winter break, spring break, and summer. Would you get in that car to drive 300 miles and trust it? I feel like the answer is no. There's a couple ford focus svts in the area in the same price range that would be way more reliable and practical but I just love this little vw
>>17202920
It's definitely not the best thing you could buy as far as a tool for transportation goes, but if you take care of it and make sure it hasn't been abused, it will serve you well.
>tfw just bought my first car and subsequently made my first car repairs
I am no longer a bus rider. Feels good.
Polar bears are the niggers of animal world. Also your mother is a filthy whore.
Congrats. Also your car is shit.
>>17202856
This is why I like /o/
Why is it that cars don't need valve adjustments while motorcycles do?
>>17202821
Cars do need valve adjustments.
Some do, but riding style, weight of the rider, etc. has a much larger effect on the handling of the bike so you need more adjustment from person to person, while a car that weighs 3000lbs and isn't really set up for performance doesn't really leave people feeling like there's not enough rebound damping or anything like that, if it goes down the road and a wheel doesn't fall off it's good to go. Serious performance cars have adjustable dampers.
>>17202821
Motorcycles run at stupidly high RPM and are smaller therefore more suseptible to valvetrain failure and wear.
ITT: post car that fits the most to music above you and some new song
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1kzkNuzTzM
>another thread where anons and teens post shitty, irrelevant alternative music and nobody responds to anybody because all the songs are similar in the fact that they're shit

post something good then
>>17202747
no because I'm not contributing to these shit threads
Why does China love Cadillac and Lincoln?
Cadillac is very popular, chines websites rank their cars the highest against Germans/Japs/Swedes
Lincoln is growing faster than any luxury car company ever did in china since it was introduced in 2014
http://www.autohome.com.cn/3802/
Because they actually have a taste.

V always wins.
china very quickly developed a middle class, and there's this deeply ingrained notion in modern chinese culture of "hey, why reinvent the wheel?" which leads to copying things a lot.
as such they essentially copied the american middle class but in sort of a weird way. For instance they love the fuck out of buicks but also they thing pabst blue ribbon is like a high class beer?
Like this is a real ad. They really think it's a classy thing upper middle class americans drink. seriously
